DESCRIPTION
The re-structuring of MSCC in CSU was initiated
to cope with the latest developments and custom
of the center. MSCC has a new pool of consultants
with the updated resources for any statistical
affairs.
Rationale:
The re-establishment of MSCC in CSU was initiated to cope with the latest developments
and custom ofthe center. MSCC has a new pool of consultants with the updated resources for
any statistical affairs. The center will be based at the College of Arls and Sciences since it will
cater students taking Elementary Statistics @urses and any allied subjects. The center was
eslablished originally thru BOR Resolution No. 62-004 Series of 2006.
The center highlights with the new services for statistical computing and training needs of
CSU and other stakeholdrs. CSU and CAMGA Region is now flourishing in trm6 on the freld
of instruclion, research and technology. MSCC had been recognized and forged parlnerships
with other institutions and agencies that requires computing and training services for research
and extension.
The center will also be a venue for hands on training in Statistics. The students of CSU who
enrolled in Statistics @urses will have the opportunity for praclical introduction to some
statistical packages that become useful when they conduct surveys and analyses of data for
their undergraduate theses. The annual offering in statistics courses nas an average of twenty
(20) seclions which will serve a minimum of 7OO students.
The center will also offer services in data consuhation processing, treatment and
interpretation as source for income generating for the university. There is an average
of 4oo
plus theses every year produce by cSU in which majority
of the theses perform data analysis
and interpretation.
Management Plan
The MSCC will be headed by a Director from the pool of faculty of the Depadment
of
Mathematics. statistical consultants of MSCC are determined from the pool
of facuhy of csu
who are duly recognized and certified by the center as data analyst. The consuhants
will meet
rgularly by a bi-monthly meeting for valuation and planning of activities
and programs of the
center. consultants will be sent to seminars and trainings for upgrading in
special topics and
new trends in computing and software applications.
Service Offerings
Before the start of the Data Processing, Treatment and Interpretation, all sludenls who
undergo theses proposal will go through the process listed below.
1. The coordinalor will appoint consultanus who will work with the @ncemed sludenvs.
2. At the start of thesis proposal, student should meet the consultant of MSCC for the
designing and planning of his or her methodology of study.
3. The assigned consuhant will be responsible for statistical analysis and interpretation of the
student's thesis.
4' Note: With the guidance of a consultant, data encoding should be done by the clienystudent
lo ensure minimal errors in data processing.
5. Prior to the conduct of data analysis, the clienvstudent shall pay to the CSU Cashier for the
services according to the fees designed for certain projec{.
6. The consultant will be given a grace period of 1 week to complete the assigned analysis
which will siad on the date appearing on the mentioned receipt.
7. The Coordinator and the Statistical Consultant will provide the client a copy of his/her data
inlerpretation with a certification that the data has been processed in the center.
1. All statistical analyses done in the MSCC will receive a certiflcation as part of the
requlrement of the theses.
2. Note for all Deans and lheses Advisers: the MSCC Certificate for Statistacal
Consultation should be part of the requiEments prior to the conduc{ of final defense.
3' Theses who do not need to undergo any statistical analyses should also obtain a
cerlificalion from the MSCC for the purpose ot monitoring and evaluation.

However, if there are additional treaimenl afier the client and statistical consuttant
meeting. The client should arrange another meeting with Center Direc{or for the data treatment
revision. The said additional treatment will charge the client an additional 20% on top of his/her
service fee. The prices varies on the type of test and data points to be keated. Also, the all rates
are subject lo a 15oA increase every 3 years lo subsidize the increasing demand (inflation rate)
of the soflware cost and supplies.
In addition, if the client is not satisfy by the statistical consultants job. The client must
meet the center Director for possible replacement. There is no refund of payment once the
consulting proper has started. The guidelines is subjed to any revisions without prior notice.
1. The concerned lrainees should meet the Center Direc{or for the planned training activily.
2. The kaining will be specified by the exac't needs of the participants.
3. A minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 15 are allowed for an activity.
4. The training should be book two (2) weeks before the conduct of the activily.
5. The Center Direc{or will anange for a S'tatistical Consultant that will accept the activity.
6. The client and the statistical consultant will meet on the schedule arranged by the Center
Director.
7. The trainees will pay to the CSU Cashier for the services according to the fees designed for
certain ac{ivity.
8. The client will present the receipl as proof of payment for the services. The date on the
receipt will serve as the start of the anangement of the training aciivity.
9. Thc fee includes a training kit, amlpm snacts and one lund1.
as part of the social role of the cenler. The said activity will partner forged partnerships with
other institutions and agencies that requirs computing and training services for research and
exlension.
The expec{ed outcome of the center will be derived from the ac{ivities listed above. The
table below presents the breakdown of cash flow.

The expec'ted expense of the center includes power consumption and depreciation cost
of the usage and operations of the computer.
