PADEYE DESIGN

1. PURPOSE

This document defines the Transocean standard for Padeye Design for offshore rigs for
new construction or refurbishing.

2. SCOPE

This standard applies to all personnel involved in selection of Padeye Design.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES

The application of this standard is the responsibility of:

The Project Manager for new construction

Rig Manager or OIM when replacing existing Padeye Design

4. REFERENCES

Tranocean Drawing O-PZ 1000 Padeye Design (attached)

7. EQUIPMENT

This specification applies to the fabrication and installation of general purpose padeyes to
new and existing steel structure. This specification and the attached drawing apply only to
padeyes with maximum safe working loads not exceeding six short tons. Request for
special applications and higher safe working loads should be referred to the engineering
department.
