Introduccin
Se conoce que los jvenes no realizan una buena alimentacin ya que ellos prefieren
consumir comidas rpidas, las cuales no les proporcionan los nutrientes necesarios para
su rendimiento.

La importancia que presenta la alimentacin para los adultos jvenes que estudian en un
plantel de educacin superior es la base de esta investigacin, que tiene como objetivo
interpretar la percepcin de la importancia que presenta la alimentacin en estudiantes
universitarios.
Resumen
La formacin de hbitos alimentarios saludables debe comenzar desde los primeros aos
de edad ya que los hbitos instalados tempranamente tienden a perdurar a lo largo de toda
la vida. El rol de los padres y representantes de nios y nias en el desarrollo de hbitos
saludables es fundamental ya que no solo ensear con el ejemplo sino con la prctica,
incorporando cada da en su dieta alimentos acorde a su edad.
Diversos estudios del Ministerio de Salud han destacado que la poblacin universitaria es
un grupo especialmente vulnerable desde el punto de vista nutricional, ya que se
caracteriza por: saltarse comidas con frecuencia, picar entre horas, tener preferencia por
comida rpida y consumir alcohol frecuentemente.
Mediante la encuesta aplicada a los estudiantes se pudo observar que ms del 70% no
tiene una buena alimentacin, esto debido a diversos factores entre ellos, los horarios de
clases que no les permiten un espacio para alimentarse, la falta de lugares de comida
cercanos al establecimiento donde reciben clases, escases de dinero o simplemente falta
de hbitos alimenticios pues nunca han tomado la costumbre de alimentarse con alimentos

nutritivos y a ciertas horas; todo esto puede llegar a desencadenar varias enfermedades
graves.
Abstract
The formation of healthy eating habits should begin from the earliest years of age as early
habits tend to last throughout life. The role of parents and representatives of children in
the development of healthy habits is fundamental since not only teach by example but
also by practice, incorporating food in their diet according to their age.
A balanced diet, sufficient in quality and quantity of nutrients, is necessary to reduce the
risk of chronic diseases of nutritional origin and to improve the quality of life of all age
groups. Among these, young adults who study in higher education establishments are key
in delivering healthy eating tools that allow them to use them in their personal and
professional lives.
The objective of this study is to know the eating habits of the students of the Technical
University of the North Faculty of Health Sciences, since the food is a very important
determinant in the academic field in which the student develops, since Can negatively
affect poor academic performance.
Several studies by the Ministry of Health have emphasized that the university population
is an especially vulnerable group from the nutritional point of view, since it is
characterized by: frequent meals, snacks between hours, preference for fast food and
frequent consumption of alcohol.
Through the survey applied to the students it was observed that more than 70% do not
have a good diet, this due to several factors among them, the schedules of classes that do
not allow them a space to feed themselves, the lack of places of food near the
Establishment where they receive classes, scarce money or simply lack of eating habits
since they have never taken the habit of feeding themselves with nutritious foods and at
certain hours; All this can lead to trigger several serious diseases.
