The PRN4004 is an advanced signal voting node and an essential
component of quasi sync* systems. The PRN4004 covers a wide range of
applications and is equally suited to simple voting only or multi frequency,
multi site quasi sync with voting systems.
The PRN4004 selects the best, received, signal by decoding an out-of-
band voting tone that is generated at the receiver site. The voting tone is
analogous to signal strength {RSSI). Tones are compared (voted) from
various receivers to select the best output signal. This method is universally
accepted as the proven technique. The PRN4004 is also designed to
provide end-of-line voting if system parameters permit. The use of
microprocessor design and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) results in a
compact, cost effective and highly configurable installation together with the
ability to upgrade by installation of software only.
