LAUNDRY REPORT

Introduction

Barwa Financial District 387 keys Hotel is a five star hotel and will be operated by Shaza Hotel Group.

Hotel will have full size laundry that will process:

All Hotel Room Linen

● Staff Uniforms

● Food and Beverage Linen

● Guests Laundry

● Large number of articles from Spa and Hamah operation.

Laundry Location:

Laundry is located on the Ground Floor. Soiled linen will be delivered via linen chute, which terminates on the ground floor in the linen collection room. Collected linen will be delivered in soiled linen trucks to soiled linen sorting area located within Laundry facilities.

Laundry Equipment Overview:

Laundry equipment is selected based on estimated Laundry load generated on daily base and availability of after service sale and spare parts in state of Qatar and Middle East Region.

Due to the limited soiled linen staging facilities we proposed that Laundry operates seven (7) days a week.

Flatwork ironer will be three roll type and 80 cm diameter each roll, due to quality of linen used in this high-end Hotel.

Dry cleaning operation is provided for guest laundry and uniforms that would require dry cleaning.

Laundry calculations:

As per Section 4 of General Laundry Calculation Method, luxury hotel will generate 15 kg. of soiled linen per room per day (This load of 15 kg includes rooms, foodservice, pool, large Banquet Facilities).

Due to the extensive Banquet operation and Spa/Hammam Facilities we recommend using 16 kg. per day per room, for calculating daily laundry load.

We anticipated the occupancy rate will be 80% and over in which case 20% diversity factor will be applicable to the estimated daily laundry load.

Labor-Cost Savings Utility-Cost Savings Value For Your Money Proven Performance Warranty

UniMac has been manufacturing commercial laundry

equipment for over 50 years. By now, we know a thing or

two about what it takes to cost effectively operate a laundry

room. Through the years we have helped our customers to

improve working conditions for laundry room staff, lower

operating expenses in their department and increase cash

flow for their company. Relax, you can count on UniMac to

provide the Expert Solution for your particular challenge.

That’s why we’re called the Laundry Experts.

Labor-Cost Savings

Did you know labor costs eat up 50% of your laundry dollar? Imagine the thousands of dollars you’d save if you could reduce your laundry labor by 30 minutes per day!

UniMac’s UWPV Series Washer-Extractor transforms your dream into reality.

4 Fast-Fill Water Valves (instead of the customary 2) fill UWPV models much faster, shaving valuable minutes off every cycle.

Extraction Speeds of up to 300 G-Force — that’s 2-3 times the G’s of most machines — aid UniMac’s UWPV models in reducing the amount of moisture left in washloads. This greatly reduces drying time saving significantly on labor costs.

Our Advanced Computer Control accurately senses drain time com- pletion, while precisely advancing to the next step in the wash cycle. Our Advanced Computer Control Our smart drain saves time and money, when compared with less expensive Our smart drain saves time and money, when compared with less expensive models, which have fixed drain times that may lengthen the total cycle time by several minutes.

A Rapid Jetspray Rinse saves nearly 3 minutes on every rinse step! The A Rapid Jetspray Rinse saves nearly spray rinse pulls water through linens, allowing water to drain spray rinse pulls water through linens, allowing water to drain immediately, rather than cycling through the time consuming fill, agitation and drain phases of the traditional bath rinse. This is one of UniMac’s most impressive timesaving features.

The Overnight Delayed Start feature gives you a 30-minute head start each day! By loading the washer and selecting the programmable delayed start cycle, your linens will be ready for the dryer immediately the next morning. This head start can save 30-minutes per day.

The UWPV models can be programmed with the shortest wash cycles in the industry. When the 4 fast fill water valves are combined with rapid jet-spray rinse, smart drain, and our end of cycle rotation sensor, you will cut laundry operating time. Saving time will save labor costs.

Utility-Cost Savings

Utility costs account for approximately 10% of your laundry dollar. By selecting laundry equipment with advanced features, utility costs can be controlled. If

a typical laundry facility processes around 4000

cycles per year, even small savings per cycle will really add up. UniMac’s UWPV series has the solu- tion for controlling your utility costs:

Electricity

Save 40% or more with our state-of-the-art frequency drive system. It saves money by gradually and efficiently ramping up to extraction speed. You’ll also save electricity with our industry leading short cycle times created with our rapid jet spray rinse, four fast fill water valves and smart drains.

Gas

Dryer time is shorter due to 300 G-Force super high extraction speeds. By operating your dryer less each day, you reduce your cost of energy by $100’s per year.

Value For Your Money

Cost and value are not synonymous. Often the lowest- priced laundry equipment ends up being the most expensive to own in terms of maintenance, perfor- mance and ease-of-use. One way of measuring a washer-extractor’s value is to take a look at stan- dard features.

UniMac is committed to providing you with the maximum value. Many of the features considered “add-ons” by our competitors are standard on our UWPV washer-extractors.

Important standard features include:

Temperature Controlled Fill Thermal Cool Down Overnight Soak Overflow Rinse Stainless Steel Construction Brass Fill Valves Polypropylene Chemical Supply Dispenser Programmable Drive System 2 Wash Speeds (PV Models)

history. You won’t find another washer-extractor with the durability and performance record of UniMac’s UWPV series.

Our heavy-duty Gamma A-frame, made of four-inch H-beam, has been the industry model of strength and durability. Our low maintenance V-Belt Drive provides high efficiency, dependability and smooth operation, without unnecessary transmissions or clutches. With fewer moving parts, our drive system requires less maintenance.

UniMac’s expertise is the result of over 50 years as the leader in technological innovation. We’ve led the industry in developing technologically advanced solutions, such as Microprocessor Controls, Frequency Drive System, Rapid Jet Spray Rinse, Super-high G-Force, 2 wash speeds, Water Saving System™ and Starch Buster™.

We receive high marks from our customers and peers within the commercial laundry industry, and most would agree: UniMac is the industry leader because we’ve set the standards for quality with prod- ucts guaranteed to lower cost and constructed to per- form every time!

TT ake a moment and step into

the world of high tech product engineering where UniMac drying tumblers are designed with innovative features that command top performance, and durable steel construction that will stand the test of time. At UniMac, drying tumblers are considered more than just laundry equipment. They are key players in the success of commercial laundry facilities and as such must continuously achieve high levels of efficiency, quality and durability. UniMac has always maintained a standard of excellence in drying tumbler manufacturing that is recognized around the world. With over 80 years of engineering expertise you can be assured that you are getting the best drying tumblers on the market that will meet your needs now and in the future.

Energy-

Efficient Design

UniMac has achieved

a perfect balance between drying temperature, airflow pattern and useable cylinder space to provide maximum energy efficiency while thoroughly drying linens. Our special equipment design pulls air through linens at the precise point where they fall freely to the bottom of the cylinder during the tumbling process. This enables linens to dry quickly and evenly which can shorten overall drying time there by reducing utility and labor costs.

Special Encapsulated Heat System

UniMac’s enclosed heat system captures intake air and preheats it, utilizing radiant heat from the stove top, before air enters the combustion chamber. The results are increased energy efficiency, faster drying times and a comfortable operating environment. For your convenience, UniMac’s stove top and burners are removable to fit through a standard door opening.

Our C.A.R.E. drying tumblers provide some peace of mind in the unlikely event of a laundry fire within the cylinder. This feature senses for an abnormally high temperature within the cylinder of the dryer. If a laundry fire should start within the cylinder, water is sprayed on the linens from a multi-port manifold to saturate the load. If the system is activated, a warning signal can be sent to a remote location. The externally mounted C.A.R.E. system features multiple sensors and two water valves to assure accurate performance.

Energy-Efficient

Design

UniMac has achieved a perfect balance between drying temperature, airflow pattern and useable cylinder space to provide maximum energy efficiency while thoroughly drying linens. Our special equipment design pulls air through linens at the precise point where they fall freely to the bottom of the cylinder during the tumbling process. This enables linens to dry quickly and evenly which can shorten overall drying time thereby reducing utility and labor costs.

Reversible Steel Door*

For the ultimate in workflow convenience, our tumbler door can be reversed to open right or left. In less than 15 minutes, you can reverse the door open direction and customize the optimum workflow for your laundry. Combined with our large door opening for ease of loading and unloading, you can count on Unimac drying tumblers to assist you with the lowest laundry operat- ing costs. Constructed of high-grade steel, Unimac’s heavy-duty door and hinges will stand up to the toughest laundry conditions, time and time again. In addition, our circular door glass is sealed with a 7/8” rubber gasket to secure it in place while providing greater strength and rigidity.

*Standard on 50 & 75 lb models only.

C.A.R.E. TM System**

(Combustion Auto Response Equipped)

Our C.A.R.E. drying tumblers provide some peace of mind in the unlikely event of a laundry fire within the cylinder. This feature senses for an abnormally high temperature within the cylinder of the dryer. If a laundry fire should start within the cylinder, water is sprayed on the linens from a multi-port manifold to saturate the load. If the system is activated, a warning signal can be sent to a remote location. The externally mounted C.A.R.E. system features multiple sensors and two water valves to assure accurate performance.

**Option available on 50 & 75 lb models.

Self-Cleaning Lint Filter

UniMac’s fine mesh lint screen cleans itself automatically by depositing lint into a large storage area for easy removal. This eliminates the need to manually clean filter after each use.

Microprocessor Control

UniMac’s new state-of-the-art microprocessor-controlled tumblers include an anti- wrinkle, end of cycle mode that reduces wrinkling caused by a static cylinder. It also offers variables such as time, temperature and dryness level and can be programmed to meet the exact needs of your laundry operation. And it’s very easy for employees of any skill level to operate.

• When the backpressure reaches a level set by the user the lint filter automatically blows clean with compressed air.

• When the filter control determines a com- plete absence of backpressure indicating all dryers are off, the filter will blow down for maximum cleaning.

The OBIFOLD basic plus and basic premium
folders are particularly suitable for a French
primary fold (thirding), however a single
primary midfold is also possible.
The primary fold is carried out by air blast.
Two blow pipes are provided with numereous
spraynozzles, which secures an accurate fold.
The pieces only stop for a shortest possible
time. This makes it faster than comparable
folders with mechanical folding blades.
The OBIFOLD basic plus and basic premium
are provided with two crossfolds. The 1st.
crossfold is made by airblast, the 2nd cross-
fold is made by airblast in combination with a
reversing belt.
