5.0 PROCEDURE :
5.1 Ensure that the instrument is clean and free from dust.
5.2 Ensure the plug is connected to the mains.
5.3 Press power ON / OFF switch to ON position.
5.4 Set the temperature compensation knob to the temperature of
solution.
5.12 Remove the electrode and wash, repeat the process by dip the
electrode in the buffer having pH 7.0, 4.0 and 9.2 till the
observed value get correctly.
5.13 Rinse the electrode with distill water and place it in sample and
read the pH of the sample.
5.14 After adjust the potential knob at check position switch of the
instrument when not in use for long time.
6.0 CALIBRATION:-
To achieve accuracy the instrument is calibrated by the following
procedure:-
The pH meter is calibrated daily with buffer solution having pH 4.0, 7.0
and 9.2 as per the operating procedure.
7.0 PRECAUTION:-
7.1 Do not leave electrode dry, when not in use, keep the electrode in
distilled water.
7.2 Do not wipe the glass electrode bulb with any coarse material.
7.3 The buffer should not get contaminated.
