Provisioning Packages
Overview
The Tellabs 8000 Network Manager is a powerful network and
service management tool for the Tellabs 8600 Managed Edge
System, the Tellabs 8100 Managed Access System, the Tellabs
6300 Managed Transport System, the Tellabs 8800 Multiservice
Router Series and the Tellabs 7100 Optical Transport System.
The Provisioning Packages provide tools for the easy and efficient
creation and management of ATM, TDM, Ethernet, Frame Relay
and HDLC pseudowires as well as TDM and WDM circuits and

Wizards
When needed, it is possible to speed up the already fast provisioning
process with Pseudowire Wizard and Cell Site Wizard tools.
The Cell Site Wizard combines the steps needed when adding
pseudo wire connections from a NodeB to an RNC. The wizard
will create and configure the needed ATM interface hierarchy and
the required pseudo wire. The wizard uses configuration templates
which can be tailored for different types of NodeBs to be added in
the network.
Reparenting
Move Endpoints functionality under the VPN provisioning tool is
specially designed for reparenting pseudowires. The user can
easily select a group of interfaces used for pseudowires as well as
interfaces where the endpoints need to be moved and click start.
Tellabs 8000 network manager then automatically moves
the pseudowires to new destination interfaces.
