ABOUT US

DETAILED CarthageABC Soccer Academy.

UGANDA, in east Africa, is one of the improving economies with a population of
approximately 32m people. It is estimated that 80% of our population are poor and
live under $1 per day ,with small middle class while, the elite 30% of the population
enjoy lavish lifestyles and all the luxuries this world can offer. This state of affairs
inspires little or no hope for the youths from the poor majority of population, whose
families can hardly afford them and access decent education, health services and
later on shelter as a whole. As a result high levels of illiteracy, among the youths
who in actual sense must be the leaders of today and not tomorow. It is important
to underline the fact that the youth accounts for 60% of uganda’s population.
Due to the high cost of living coupled with the uninspiring, hopeless backgrounds of
the majority of the young people in uganda, the youth at very tender age resort to
various illegal and life threatening activities. Notably is the gross abuse of
substances such as alcohol and drugs which eventually puts their lives at the risk of
contracting HIV/AIDS.its on against this background that carthageABC was born.
It was out of our passionate desire to save an almost lost generation that
carthageABC Soccer Academy was established as one of the surest methods of
reaching out to the youth. The high levels of ectended are another contributing
factor in perpetuating the problems being faced by the majority of the youth in our
country .
Having been fully exposed to the problems our fellow youths are facing for a long
time, we felt duty bound to contribute in our small way by keeping the youths busy
by proving soccer as a vehicle to developments in society. Our strongest tool in this
cause is the wealth of knowledge and experience in the management of youth
soccer and education programs.

BRIEF HISTORY OF MADI- COMMUNITY:PAGE

section.
On visiting Moyo and Adjumani districts West Nile part of the country in uganda, it
is interesting to note that inspite of the insurgencies, the many wars that were
waged in this part of the country Uganda, the Madi people seemed to be persevered
and are even increased determination to forgie on.

It is visible that on private initiatives, some small changes have been taking place,
and this inspite of the decades long marginalization is leading to progress in
developments.
Having said this though, inspite of the “sports-boom” that has engulfed the country,
both Adjumani and Moyo Districs in Madi still do not have a enough sports facilities,
not even as an complexity stadium equipments. The sports and soccer stadiums are
more popular in Arua and Nebbi in West Nile are the nearest but do not necessarily
serve the interests and purposes of the Madi community.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m being easily, motivated by the underemphasised need,
for the creation of awareness about burning and urgent issues of H.I.V-AIDS,
Health end Hygiene, the Enviroment, Gender and and population control, corruption
nation building, entertainment and Culture preservation issues among others so to
say.
. The millllinum development goals for example has ushered in various models of
alleviating the plight of the countries of Sub Saharan Africa by waving off foreign
debts.and perving ways of energizing them with the tools and ideas.
As a concerned , Madi and Ugandan, most of the Madis cannot access the written
word, the only other option left is the oral and heard word.but are gradually getting
to the apex of literate boundaries of educated class.hence its on this background
that the youth soccer academy comes as one of the catalyste to development by
way of sports.
This endevour of youth academy soccer when successfully implemented and
realised, shall ushere in the beginging of a new era in the development of the madi
people as a growing community in Uganda abs especially in the northern part of
country.thus alsocontributing to the education of the people of Madi and the
dissemination of information in this region especially after creation of the youth
soccer academy website. As you may know, the Madi region in Uganda lies near the
borders of Congo and Sudan, and these enclaves have been used by elements from
either countries to perpetrate crime and insecurity in the region. Forests are being
destroyed, other natural reserves are being encroached upon, and all this happens
due to the lack of awareness among the people. With the help of this youth soccer
academy projects ,including other youth development projects then there is
awareness for the community to wake up to the cause of their being in the areas
where they live.

Environment
As you may know, the Madi region in Uganda lies near the borders of Congo and
Sudan, and these enclaves have been used by elements from either countries to
perpetrate crime and insecurity in the region. Forests are being destroyed, other
natural reserves are being encroached upon, and all this happens due to the lack of
awareness among the people. With this youth soccer academy website project in
place, we want to create awareness in the people and sensitilise them using this
information highway as one of the medium of commincation letting them take
environmental matters more serious and to inform them about the dangers that
may come up if the environment is neglected as a whole leading to decreases in
social ,economical and political failures in general.

HIV-Aids/Health-related issues.
Madi region has not been spared by the HIV-Aids scourge in Uganda. There is more
need to educate and create awareness among the people in this region about this
issue,by using this youth soccer academy website and programs and to keep them
abreast of the new developments as far as this pandemic is concerned.hence
developments through sports.
Uganda has of late been rated internationally as one of the countries in the world
with the highest birth and mortality rates. With this in mind, and the rate of
development in the country generally and Madi region in particular, there is need
for education in the reproductive health sector and family planning, vaccination,
and other health-related activities especially to the youth. The masses also have to
be educated about proper nutrition and improved eating habits. This is because of
the increased heart diseases and circulatory ailments currently prevalent in this
region in particular and in Uganda as whole.

Culture/Entertainment
Preservation and promotion of the Madi culture is another issue we want to ensure
with this project youth soccer academy program. The Madi people do not have even
a single Newspaper, the illiteracy rate is comparable to that of the rest of the
country generally, and there is an untold longing for news and entertainment. With
the youth soccer academy website and the new moyo district football DFA website
offered by founder CarthageABC SOCCER ACADEMY, it will go along way to
contribute to the preservation and promotion of the Madi culture through social and
media programmes on website. directly linked to the Madi culture and its
community..
Developmental Political,Social and Economical Awareness
with other Organisations
The people in madi sub region have time and again made summary political
decisions as a result of lack of social and economical power. But this youth soccer
project intends to help increase these masses to make informed political, social and
economical decisions which will help us to develop our region and for the general
betterment of our lives and standards of living through providing them with
camphaigns information from the project.
The presence of the youth soccer program in this area will also go a long way to
help in the implementation of programmes of NGO´s that operate in the region
with the view of empowering the youth but had not achieved their set targets of
handling and addressing the causes of youth activities on the website. It has been
stated that out of the 220,000 people living in Moyo district, 45,000 are refugees
from Sudan, and these are being taken care of by international
organisations.Having this youth soccer academy, will enhance the efficiency and the
speed of operation interms of livelihood of these people and of these international
organizations that are in the offering, delivery of services to these refugees and
other beneficiaries.
Generally, the setting up of this youth soccer academy is meant to offer a service
which would have been long in place way back given that moyo district is among
the first twenty six(26) tribes to have achieved the status of having a district
boundaries in uganda, but has been neglected by the central government. With this
initiative, we want to bridge the gap between the people of Madi and the authorities
and among the Madi people themselves and their fellow Ugandans.
there is need in future to work with other participants, for example researchers
and internship students and rest of other stalkholders from allover the world for the
purposes of capacity-building and exposing the Madi people to how other cultures
do go about their lives, with a sole purpose of exchanging and understanding of the
other cultures, thus fostering a healthy global cohesion.

“Making a personal choice”- some of us expect God only to call us or speak to us

in extra- ordinary ways- such as through visions, dreams, all disable voices,
thunder and lightening, But he does not have to. God often does not by –pass, our
mind and other organs of perception- such as thinking, feeling seeing and hearing,
when communicating with us, actually it’s the very reason he gave these senses to
us, so that we could use them to discover and pursue his will for our lives . If God
has not called you directly to do this or that, you can locate your purpose by your
own choice. This means that by an Act of your own will, you choose what you
desire, a particular contribution, you use your senses to choose what you want to
do and God respects your choice , if it adds value to his Kingdom and to humanity ,
so go for your goals!

YOU ARE CREATED TO MEET A SPECIAL NEED

AS YOUTH
Before, we were created; God had seen a particular need of some one or society in
the universe for us to meet. One of the best ways to discover what to do in life by
identifying a problem or need in society, and go out and help contribute to it’s
solution carthege ABC soccer Academy offers help to develop and provide life- skills
seminars , soccer instructions as way to nurture the child there’s an interesting
story l can retell here. While in the college in California- U.S.A, two young man
during their summer vacation dreamt of visiting India. They came to the great city
of Bombay, and saw hundreds of thousand of India . One then saw thousands and
thousands of people in the street on bare feet. But his friend, John Looked at the
some people, at their feet, and exclaimed: Whoa, What a shoe Business: John
dropped out of college, and in one year, he had shipped and sold five million dollars
worth of plastic shoes in India. In one year, he had immensely contributed to
solving the foot wear problem in India, and in the process made him self a fortune
undoubtedly making himself a multimillionaire! Youth watch out this could be your

Explains How, CarthegeABC Soccer Academy Has Raised

His Expectations High, Hopes and Dreams.
Introduction; “bring out the very best of you”, is the niche within the niche that the
universe has a way of bring the things to us when, the tune into the vibration of
something larger than ourselves, this is true when I see CARTHEGE ABC soccer
academy started up. ”the same waits you”, setting up the youth soccer academy
has put up one of the most important days in my life raising very high expectation
ahead of time.using soccer as a vehicle to development is so tready that I live to
see this concept and well formed ideas be put into the most valuable feable hours
in our lives. “are the equally lifted” you might ask whether we are all lifted. Well, if
this means having the same types and level of gift, then the answer is no. we
cannot all be equally gifted in this kind of way, what I means that have hope in
what you are doing let it be playing football in youth soccer academics, since your
are gifted differently, because we are called to do different tasks you have been
called to do first like mine was to set up youth soccer, nurtureyouth, define and
identify talents. Your talent is to play soccer, develop it to the highest levels. I do
not need to have the talents you have in order to do the task you are called to do
and vice versa. God gives different people different talents, depending on the
different purpose it which he has called them. “…..to one he gave five talents of
money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his
ability …….” (matt.25;14-15) and it’s from this background, that the youth try out
their talents, since my talent is set up or creat the soccer academy, administer it’s
operations or running it’s activities which has been planned, thought and expected.
For the youth to expose their talents to great expectations with high hopes and
dreams. Lastly I played football with great expectation only to fall short of dreams,
who knows that it was not my talent. My talent totally different which is to set up
youth academy activities. Now we need the youth to bring the very best in
developing of your talents since we have different talents.

Who knew these great talents and works of God’s given talents would raise
to great expectation, High, Hopes and Dreams after several years of
exploring life.

Call it a gift or a talent –our natural talent can lead us to the world of success. God
has given something special to each and every person, inorder for that person to
fulfill a certain purpose on earth , and to be richly blessed through it. There is
something expectional in and about you. A special packaged gift from God:
“discover and develop it”.

Launch of carthageABC Soccer Academy’s 2010 Camp

Being a new Academy that we are as CarthageABC, we intend to launch our 2010
Camp through a SOCCER gala mini tournament dubbed the “MEET CarthageABC”
soccer tournament to take place in either moyo or adjumani. In order for this dream
to become a reality, we are appealing for financial, material and logistical support
from the corporate entities, friends and well wishers. In this vein we intend to
embark on vigorous fundraising campaigns throughout the country. We would as
well go an extra mile by putting up a face book page specifically for donations
towards running our accomplishments of our mission.
We as CarthageABC mainly identify ourselves with the poor who are the majority in
our local communities with a purpose of providing a platform that expedites the
process of promoting their talent and ultimately expose them to the world through
our policy of carrying out international soccer tours that run in different parts of the
world throughout the year. We have a deliberate policy to participate in every
international soccer tournament in near future, as long as it serves the purpose of
exposing our boys and girls to the international soccer markets.

We shall enter the tournaments to compete with the aim of winning but most
importantly to use the event as a platform to launch our players onto the global
football scene and expose them to international competition which should help put
them in good stead for assignments such as the African Cup, FIFA World Cup and
even personal player advancement. Since we are entering all the competitions with
a combined team of players from more than one part of country origin, we shall
ensure the teams assemble in good time in order to blend.with professional soccer
clubs.
