Greetings!
We are students of the University of the Philippines College of Law and current members and
officers of UP PVO. Founded in the mid-1980s, UP PVO has been focused on providing
paralegal services in depressed communities, the most recent of which is holding a legal
orientation on the rights of the accused in areas like Payatas, Krus na Ligas, etc.. By enhancing
the avenues for social involvement for the students of the UP College of Law, we aim to
encourage our fellow students to truly be lawyers and advocates for the people.
This year the UP PVO plans on undertaking more community legal workshops on laws such as
the VAWC, the IPRA law, and in light of recent events, the continuous workshops on the rights
of the accused and those who are detained. Hence, the UP PVO asks for your support in
financing our general expenses. As the members are not able to substantially cover all expenses,
your generous contribution will go a long way in helping the UP PVO achieve its vision and
mission.
