Syllabus:
Communication Skills: Communication cycle, types and flows of Communication, barriers to
communication, Listening Skills: Types of listening, Barriers to effective listening, tips to improve listening
skills, Business Communication: Types of Letters and format, complaint letters and letters of regret and
adjustment, Agenda and minutes of meeting, types of memo and Resume and job application, Speaking
Skills: Presentations, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Seminar Presentation, Summarizing technical
material, Writing research papers, Writing Business Proposal, Assertive & Negotiation Skills, Business
Etiquettes, Report Writing .

Self Study:
The self study contents will be declared at the commencement of semester. Around 10% of the questions will
be asked from self study contents.

Tutorial Work:
Tutorial work will be based on above syllabus with minimum 10 tutorials to be incorporated.
