The Principal RAN Optimization Engineer exhibits an expert understanding of wireless network design and

network optimization and performance engineering.

The Principle Optimization Engineer must be able to assume responsibility for multiple concurrent engineering
activities with minimal supervision and provide supervision to other engineers.

The Optimization Engineer will

Manage the creation of drive routes, drive testing and post-processing

Analyzing wireless network drive data to identify and optimize poor performing areas
Audit existing network parameter settings and propose adjustments to optimize performance based on
coverage footprint, interference, link budget, capacity and other factors
Analyze and implement the inter vendor IRAT handovers. Knowledge of relevant parameters.
Analyze and implement the parameters of Load Balancing of inter vendor and inter technology
Generate OSS script for parameter changes and Neighbor implementation. Coordinate and implement
changes through OSS if access is granted by customer.
Responsible for all analysis of KPI monitoring, KPI Analysis, Analysis & Suggestions, traffic monitoring &
Audit cell parameter and checking.
Responsible for soft & Physical optimization as per optimization requirement and submit the report.
Report and recommendation needs to contain detail analysis and justification with end-customer as
target audience.
Responsible for maintaining RF KPI up to the threshold.
Responsible for developing optimization roadmap and methodologies specific to end-customer and
project. Roadmap should bring improvement to network KPI, technology and layer management, network
capacity, spectrum efficiency and customer experience.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 to 6 years related industry experience in optimization of wireless networks

Strong leadership skills including the ability to advise and educate other engineers on best practices and
optimization strategy
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Expert knowledge and understanding of wireless network engineering fundamentals, methods and
procedures
Knowledge of and experience with LTE/ UMTS
Experience with Optimization and Multiband tuning with specific equipment vendors: Huawei & Ericsson
must have hands on LTE optimization experience and be familiar with vendor parameters and KPI
counters.
