About
This past December, SPIN hosted its 2nd annual
elegant holiday affair benefiting local families in
underserved communities. The event raised over
$20,000 in sponsorships and ticket sales, and
attracted more than 200 attendees. Funds raised
were used to provide Christmas food baskets to
twenty families in the Denver Metro area. With the
event proceeds, SPIN was also able to make a
generous grant of $5,000 to the Urban Leadership
Foundation of Colorado in support of scholarships
for female participants.

Based on the momentum and success of last year,

SPIN hopes to continue to grow this event in order to
help even more families during the holiday season.
As in previous years, sponsorship dollars will be used
to offset the cost of the event so all ticket proceeds
can go directly to those in need.

Who is SPIN?
The Sisterhood of Philanthropists Impacting Needs (SPIN) is a
philanthropic giving circle of African-American women in
Denver, Colorado. SPINs mission is to leverage our collective
strengths in order to positively impact marginalized women
and adolescent girls in our community. To achieve this
mission, SPIN brings together women of varying perspectives, 2016 SPIN Members:
backgrounds, and unique skill-sets who are passionate about Sarah Craft,
making a difference through charitable contributions, Wells Fargo Bank
community service projects, and civic engagement activities.
