A GATE CALLED BEAUTIFUL

(Acts 3-1:16)

Characters :

Peter
John
The Crippled Man
The Villagers

Setting : The Temple, one afternoon

SCENE 1

(Peter and John went to the temple one afternoon for their three oclock service. Until, they were
approached by the crippled man and ask for some money for his food.)

The Crippled Man : Can I ask you for a money?


Villager 1 : No, I dont have any amount I will give to you. Stay away from me, poor beggar.
The Crippled Man : (kneeled down) Sir, can I ask you for a money? Without money, I cannot eat food nor
I drink a fresh water.
Villager 2 : How pitiful you are. But unfortunately, I dont even give you a money. You may seek help to
other people with a pure and loving heart.
The Crippled Man : Oh dear. How can I live my life now?

SCENE 2

(Peter and John looked at the Crippled Man.)

Peter : Look at us!


The Crippled Man : Hey, young man! Can I have some money for my food? Please, have mercy on me.
Peter : I dont have any silver or gold for you. But I have something to give you what I have, and that is
through praying. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you will rise up and walk.

(Suddenly, the crippled man can now move his feet.)

The Crippled Man : Oh, thank goodness! I can now move my feet and walk. Help me, young man. Lift me
up.

(Peter and John helped the crippled man to raise his feet and walk at the gates of the temple. The
people were amazed and shocked from what they have witnessed. The crippled man was hold tightly to
Peter and John.)

Peter : People of Israel, look at what you have witnessed. This kind of miracle you have seen is the proof
that Jesus came in our lives. He has brought the glory to this poor young man. But through His faith, this
young man can now walk. You must have faith in Jesus before your very eyes.
SINGING IN THE JAIL
(Acts 16: 16-40)

Characters :

Paul The Prisoners


Silas The Magistrate
Lydia The Jail Guard
Brothers and Sisters The Policemen
The Villagers

Setting : At the prison

SCENE 1

(The voice of the female predicted on what happened in the future. She earned a great deal for money
for fortune telling. And Paul followed the fortune tellers prediction.)

Females Voice : These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.

(She kept it for a few days. And Paul became so annoyed to that sound.)

Paul : In Jesus name, I command you to come out her!

SCENE 2

(Paul and Silas were dragged out by the policemen into the market. The villagers accused them as
troublemakers).

Villager 1 : Caught them in jail. They were crazy!


Villager 2 : They will make some trouble here. Caught them and never be free!
Policeman 1 : These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar by advocating customs
unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice.
Policeman 2 : As your punishment, both of you will put inside the dark room and your hands and feet
will rope so that you cannot escape outside the jail.
Villagers : Arrest them! Arrest them!
Policeman 1 : Make sure you will secure them in order to guide them until they will put inside the jail.
Hurry up!
Policemen 2 : Yes, sir.

SCENE 3

(Paul and Silas were left inside the jail and roped their hands and feet. About midnight, Paul and Silas
praised and sing hymns to God.)

Paul and Silas : Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. (2x) REJOICE, REJOICE, and again I say
rejoice. (2x) (Repeat until the other prisoners look at them.)
Prisoner 1 : What the hell are you doing? Are you getting crazy?
Prisoner 2 : Perhaps, they have been accused from having a trouble in this place.

(Suddenly, the prisoners can feel the shaking of the ground.)

Paul : Yes. The earth is shaking.


Silas : Lets sing to the Lord. Rejoice! Rejoice!
Paul : Hey look! The jail bars were broken.
Silas : And so, we were about to escape. Tell the other prisoners to escape.

(The prisoners were about to escape behind the jail bars. Until, the Jail Guard woke up and saw the
effect of having an earthquake.)

Jail Guard : Where are the prisoners? Oh dear. I think they already escaped me. What should I do?
(He get his sword and tried to kill himself.) I guess, I will sacrifice my life for what I have sinned. I will
finish myself.
Paul : Dont harm yourself! We are all here!

(The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out
and asked something.)

Jail Guard : Sirs, what I must do to save?


Paul and Silas : Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be savedyou and your household.

(The jail guard took them and washed their wounds. Since then, he brought them to his household.)

Jail Guard : Come inside to my household and have some meal with me. It will be safe to stay here.

SCENE 4

(The next morning, the magistrates have been ordered them to escape from jail.)

Magistrate : I now command you to release this men.


Jail Guard : They have ordered you to escape from this place. You may now go in peace.

(After they escaped, they visit Lydias house to see their brothers and sisters. And they left the place.)
JESUS IS ALIVE
(Acts 1:1-11)

Characters :

Jesus
The Apostles
The Two Men

Setting : Jerusalem

Scene 1

(Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving
instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.)

Jesus : To my chosen one, you were gathered here to teach you my preaching. I have some proofs that I
am still alive after being crucified on the cross.

(And Jesus showed his wounds to His apostles. On one occasion, he asked a command to His apostles.)

Jesus : Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me
speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Luke : Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?

Jesus : It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will
receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

(After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. The
apostles look up the sky as he was going ,when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.)

Men 1 : Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky?
Men 2 : This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you
have seen him go into heaven.
