Chapter1 Safety
General Safety Information
Warning
Before device disassembling, ensure the external power source is cut off.
There may be electrical shock when opening the device enclosure. All servicing to the device must
be carried out by personnel trained and authorized by our company.
Servicing personnel must wear corresponding apparatus(such as static bangle, etc).
Caution
Before disassembling, disconnect the power cord and disassemble all the peripheral equipments,
for some circuit and equipments are still working in the instance of power off and direct
disassembling will cause damage to some circuitry.
When disassembling the sockets, avoid directly pulling and drawing and make sure not to curve
the pins, without strong force.
Use proper tools, such as screwdriver and tweezer, etc, and be careful during operation to avoid
any human damage to the device.
After repair, do necessary maintenance to the device.
Note
For most parts or accessories of this device are tiny, such as screw and washer, etc, it is important
to strictly record the location, quantity and specification for each part and accessory and put the
parts disassembled in sorts, which will help improve service efficiency.
Disassemble the device strictly according to correct steps described in the manual.
Please refer to this device's user manual for operation safety information.
Other important safety information is located in this manual where appropriate.

Chapter2 Overview
2.1 Brief Introduction
H8 Patient Monitor can monitor vital signals as ECG, NIBP, SpO2, Pulse Rate, Respiration , and
Dual-TEMP(optional Dual-IBP,CO2 ,built-in thermal printer, central monitor system). The
monitor can be connected to the central monitoring system via Ethernet so as to form a network
monitoring system. It integrates parameter measuring modules, display and recorder in one device,
featuring in compactness, lightweight and portability. Replaceable built-in battery facilitates
transportation of patient.

2.2 Functions and Performance
ECG Monitoring
Present the continuous waveforms of patient's ECG movements to evaluate patient's current
physiological status.
Monitor Modes: Surgery, Monitor, Diagnosis.
Leads Equipped: Five or three leads are optional, real-time display ECG data waveform of two
or single lead.
Seven lead waveforms displayed in one screen.
ST segment inspection: Measurement and alarm range:-2.0~ +2.0mV.
Gain: 2.5\5.0\10\20mm/mV.
Measurement and alarm of heart rate range : Adult: 15~ 300bpm; Pediatric/Neonate: 15~
350bpm
HR, ST, ARR can be set up individually.
NIBP Monitoring
NIBP measurement is with oscillometry method and can be used for adult, pediatric and
neonate.
Measurement modes: Manual , auto and continuous measurement. Each mode can real-time
display Systolic Pressure(SYS), Diastolic Pressure(DIA), Mean Pressure(MEAN).
Measurement range: 10~ 270mmHg.
1 /2 /3 /4 /5/ 10/ 15/ 30 /60 /90 /120 /180 /240 /480 minutes are selectable for the interval in
auto mode.
Alarm type: SYS, DIA, MEAN.
Resolution: 1mmHg, hardware and software overpressure protection.
SpO2 Monitoring
SpO2 Plethysmogram measurement is employed to determine the oxygen saturation of
hemoglobin in the arterial blood. If, for example, 97% hemoglobin molecules in the red blood
cells of the arterial blood combine with oxygen, then the blood has a SpO2 oxygen saturation of
97%. The SpO2 numeric on the monitor will read 97% .The SpO2 numeric shows the percentage
of hemoglobin molecules which have combined with oxygen molecules to form oxyhemoglobin.
The SpO2/PLETH parameter can also provide a pulse rate signal and a plethysmogram wave.
Measurement range: 0%~100%.
Alarm range: 0%~100%.
Accuracy: 70%~100%, 2%.
Respiration(RESP) Monitoring
The monitor measures respiration from the amount of thoracic impedance between two ECG
electrodes. The change of impedance between the two electrodes, (due to the thoracic movement),
produces a respiratory waveform on the screen.
Method: Impedance between R-F(RA-LL).
Input impedance: >2.5M.
Impedance range: 0.3~ 5
RESP measurement range: Adult: 0~ 120bpm
Pediatric and neonate: 0~ 150bpm.
Apnea Alarm: 10~ 40S.
3
Temperature Monitoring
Use two temperature probes to measure patient temperature and get the difference.
Channels: Two.
Measurement and alarm range: 0~ 50
Resolution: 0.1.

press this button again to eliminate the FREEZE status.
SILENCE
Push this button to suspend alarm for maximum 3 minutes (with 1 minute, 2 minutes and 3
minutes selectable). In Alarm PAUSE status, a symbol appears in the Message Area. Push
22
this button for more than 1 second to mute all kinds of sounds (including alarm sound, heart beat,
pulse tone, key sound). At the same time, a symbol appears in the Message Area. Push this
button again to restore all kinds of sounds and the symbol disappears from the screen.
START
REC/STOP
MENU
Press this button to call up the MAIN MENU, in which the user may set up system information
and perform review operation.
Navigation Knob
The user may use the knob to select the menu item and modify the setup. It can be rotated
