To conclude, site analysis is compulsory to be conducted as it is part and parcel of the

process of studying the existing environment and how does it influence the structures design and
layout at the site. Site analysis is crucial in the pre-design process. Site analysis was carried out at
Sunway Bukit Gambier in order to gather the climate related information such as temperature,
relative humidity, wind speed. All these data will judge the design process of the proposed
development project, which is to build a multi-purpose community facilities centre at Sunway Bukit
Gambier.

The existing facilities, infrastructure, neighbourhood and surrounding area that are provided
at Sunway Bukit Gambier are being studied during the site analysis. Based on the result, it is found
that Sunway Bukit Gambier, the residence and surrounding area that are provided at Sunway Bukit
Gambier are also being studied. Within 5km, there are many food and beverages area and school
surrounding the site area. The high temperature and high humidity of the site the will affect the
orientation of the proposed development, size and location of opening as well as the location of the
overhang of the buildings. Furthermore, the traffic circulation is not smooth during the peak hour as
many car-users will move to and fro the Jalan Bukit Gambir. Parking lots should be provided enough
as another road along the Ivory Plaza, Persiaran Bukit Gambir would be flooded by the vehicles.

For the overview of the SWOT analysis, the community facilities are the strength of the site.
Besides, the site is close to the bus terminal, which is Sungai Nibong. The weakness of the site is the
traffic congestion during peak hour. There is also lack of integrated care centre. For the opportunity
of the proposed site, the new construction project boosts the economy of the surrounding area.
Besides, the existing community facilities provided would make the site an ideal place for other
development such as community centre. People normally commute using Jalan Bukit Gambir. There
are also many commercial properties in the site area. The greenery that is existing at the backdrop of
the proposed site would be the hill behind Sunway Bukit Gambier. Insufficient drainage system and
potential for landslide at the surrounding of the site area would be the setbacks of the site. However,
the site area is a decent potential site for development due to the busy road, Jalan Bukit Gambir. By
outlining and implementing the precaution measures such as the installation of the retaining wall
would make the site safer to be developed.
