1.Name:

BangkokInternationalSchoolAthleticConference(BISAC).

2.Purpose:

ThepurposeofBISACistoprovideawellroundedprogramofinterscholasticathleticsformemberschools.
BISACseekstoproviderulesandregulationsgoverningtheconferencethatwillachieverecognized
educationalobjectives,promotethetraditionsofinternationalsportsmanship,andprovideanenjoyable
activitiesprogramforallparticipants,spectatorsandsupporters.Thisconstitutionprovidestheframework
andregulationsbywhichBISACoperates.

eventoflightningandthunderstorms.
Ifyoufailtomeettheserequirementsyourschoolwillbemovedtoanassociatememberforaone
yearperiod.

Requirementstoremainorbecomean'AssociateMemberSchool':

HavearepresentativeateachBISACDirectorsmeeting.
Participate/Applytoenterinfifteentournaments/BISACeventsyear.
Membershipmustbepaidbythefirstmeetingeachyearat30,000Baht.
Allschoolsmusthaveadetailedpolicyinplacefortheevacuationofoutdoorsportsfacilitiesinthe
eventoflightningandthunderstorms.
Ifyoufailtomeettheserequirementsyourschoolwillbemovedtoaprobationaryforaperiodofone
year.Ifafteroneprobationaryyeartheschoolhasnotmettheminimumrequirementstheywillbe
removedfromBISAC.

ApplicationforBISACMembership.

SchoolswishingtoapplyforBISACAssociatemembershipmustcompletethefollowingprocedure:

1. ContactismadewithTheBISACChairtodiscusstheBISACorganisationanditsmembership
requirements.
2. ShouldtheapplicantschooldecidetocarryonwithitsapplicationtoBISACforAssociate
Membership,aBISACMembershipApplicationformmustbesubmittedtotheBISACChair.(This
ApplicationFormcanbefoundasAppendixOneattheendofthisdocument)
3. TheapplicationwillbeconsideredatthenextscheduledBISACMeeting.
4. Iftheapplicationisdeemedtohavepotential,therepresentativeoftheapplicantschoolwillbeinvited
tothefollowingscheduledBISACMeeting,atwhichpointanyoutstandingquestionsthatBISAC
Memberswillneedtobesatisfactorilyaddressed.Iftheapplicationissuccessful,theapplicantschool
willinitiallybegrantedayearsprobationaryassociatemembership.

4.ConferenceCommittee:

ThecommitteeismadeoftheAthleticDirectorsofeachBISACschool.Thevotingmembersaremadeupof
theFullMemberSchoolsnonvotingmembersareAssociateMemberSchools.Theconferencecommittee
shallelectachairperson,secretaryandatreasurerfromthevotingmembersofthecommittee.Electionswill
beheldbiannuallyattheMaymeeting.

TermofofficeextendsfromJune1through31Mayfortwoyears.
 NominationsforelectedpositionsshallbesubmittedtotheconferencechairpersonbyMay1st .
EachFullMemberSchool(inattendance)hasonevote.
Chairpersonhastiebreakingvote.

4.1Purpose:

ToproviderulesandregulationsgoverningtheBISACConferencethatwillachieverecognizededucational
objectives,promotethetraditionsofinternationalsportsmanship,andprovideanenjoyableactivities
programforallparticipants.

4.2Violations

Theconferencecommitteewillgoverneligibilityofstudentsthatparticipateinallinterscholasticactivities.
ThechairpersonofBISACmayrequestmemberschoolstoprovideeligibilitydocumentationforparticipating
students.

Anyviolationbymemberschoolsofrulesestablishedunderthisconstitutionmayresultinforfeitureoftitleor
honors.Aflagrantviolationmayresultinsuspensionofthatschoolfromparticipationinthatactivityorall
activitiesforthebalanceof,orapartoftheschoolyear.

Ifateamhasoveragedplayersatatournament,thatteamwillbedisqualifiedfromallgamesalready
played.However,theteamcancontinueinthetournamentwithouttheoveragedplayerparticipating.Ifall
roundrobingameshavebeenplayedthatteamwoulddroptolastplace.Ifthatteamalreadywonamedal
andtheviolationwasdiscoveredafterthetournament,theteamwouldbestrippedoftheirmedalandwould
bedisqualifiedfromthetournament.Themedalwouldgotothenextteaminline.

4.3. Dutiesofelectedconferenceofficers:

CoreLeadership:(Madeupof3largeschoolsand2smallschools,currently:MB,AV,ND,CN,JB)

CoreLeadershipareresponsibleforanydisputesintournament,leagueorfriendlyplaybroughttothemby
aBISACschool.Forexample,overageplayerentries,player,coachorschoolparentmisconductatany
scheduledBISACevent.Disciplineforinfractions,ortheapplicationfortheliftingofexistingsuspensions.
Thecoreleadershipprovidesaplaceforformalreviewofeventsbyschooladministrationregarding
individualathletes,teamsandcoaches.AmemberofthecoreleadershipwillpresideeachBISACMeeting
onarotationalbasis.

Recordminutesduringallconferencemeetingsandcommunicatethatinformationwithmembers.Compile
theBISACAgendaforADstoadditemsinto.

Treasurer:(currentlyBPS)

Accountforconferencecommitteefundsthroughtheuseofapreparedfinancialstatementandstandard
accountingprocedures.Anelectronicfinancialstatementwillbeprovidedforeachcommitteemeeting.
Responsiblefororderinganddistributeallconferenceprovidedmedalsandsupplies.

ResponsibleforcreatingtheBISACSportsCalendarandwillsharewithallBISACMemberSchool
Representatives.WillcreatetheBISACSportsCalendarGoogleDocumentbyMaytheprioryeartoinclude
informationforall3SportSeasonsincludingInvitationalEventsincludingdates,sports,hostingschooland
agegroups.

BISAC.ThispositionwillregularlycheckandassignsharingsettingsforallADsandassistants.

Directtheconferencecommitteesothattheprovisionsoftheconstitutionarecarriedout.

5.Dues/Fees:

AllFullandAssociateMemberSchoolsshallpay30,000bahtperschoolperannum.Duesarepayableto
theBISACtreasurerbythefirstBISACmeetingintheschoolyear.Duesshallbeusedtopurchasemedals,
trophies,payforadministrativecosts,andothermaterialsasdeterminedbytheconferencecommittee.

Inaddition,eachschoolteamatatournamentisexpectedtopayatournamentfeeforallBISAC
competitionsaslaidoutinthetournamentproceduressection.

6.Quorum:

Thepresenceofarepresentativefrom7schools,atanycalledorregularlyscheduledmeetingofthe
conferencecommittee,shallconstituteaquorumsufficientfortransactingandbusinessforBISAC.

7.AmendmentstoConstitution:

ThisBISACconstitutionmaybeamendedbya6of9vote(basedon9FullMembers)ofallmembers
present.Membersunabletoattendameetingthatisconsideringconstitutionalamendmentsmayvoteby
letterorbetelephone.Anyamendmenttobevotedonmustbecirculatedinwritingtoallschoolsnotless
than30daysinadvanceofthedayofvoting.

8.TournamentProcedureRules:

8.1Shallbeestablishedbytheconferencecommitteebya6of9vote(basedon9FullMembers)ofthe
members.Nobylawsmaycontraveneanyarticleoftheconstitution.

8.2Bteamsmayenter,howeverscoresarenotcountedandBteamscannotprogressintoplayoffs.

8.3Teamsareexpectedtofulfillallfixtureswithinatournament.

8.4Fullmemberschoolshavedirectentryintoalltournamentswhereeachtournamentcanhaveuptoa
maximumoftenteamspertournament.Associatememberschoolscanentertournamentswhenentriesare
lessthan10(entrieswillbemadeatthestartoftheseasonontheGoogleSpreadsheetEntriesand
Results.Iftherearemoreassociatememberschoolsthanavailableslots,thentheplayoffmechanismwill
beusedtodetermineentriesbetweenassociatememberschools.

8.5FullmemberBISACSchoolsaresplitintotwodivisionsforscheduledfixturesthroughouttheseason:
North/Div.TIS,ISB,NIST,SHB,HIS
EastDiv.ICS,RIS,BPS,ASB,TCIS

Teamsmustplayallteamswithintheirdivisionduringtheseasoninordertoparticipatein theendofseason
tournament. Theresults from the games will determine the seedingof the BISAC Tournament. (U13,15,17
only)

8.6TieBreakerRule:

Inthecaseofapointstiethefollowingcriteriawillbeusedtobreakthetie:

8.7IfaschoolhasonlyoneU17orU19teamavailable,theymustentertheteamintotheUnder19team
division

8.7.1AschoolcanbringuptotheBISACcommitteeafterplayingtwovarsitygamesthatthereteam
isconsideredtobenotstrongenoughtoplayatthevarsitylevel.TheBISACcommitteewilldiscuss
andaskforevidencetosupporttheschoolsproposal.Adecisionwillthenbemadeviaanemail
votetoallowtheteamtomovedowntotheU17division.

8.8Schools

9.Dissolution:

Thisconferencecommitteemaybeabolishedbya8of9vote(basedon9FullMembers)ofitsmembers.All
remainingfundsinthetreasurywillbedividedamongmemberschoolsonthefollowingbasis:

Ifthetreasurydoesnothavesufficientfundstodisburse,thenanyremainingfundswillbe
apportionedonthebasisofthepercentcontributiontothetreasuryinthecurrentyearbythemember
school.
OutstandingDebts:memberschoolswillpayBISACdebtsproportionally.Theproportionwillbe
determinedonthebasisofthepercentofthetotaldueseachschoolhascontributedthatyear.

10.ScopeofBISACSports:

AnysportapprovedbytheconferencecommitteefallsunderBISACstandardisedrules.
Individualschoolsmayschedulenonconferenceactivitiesandareencouragedtoexplorethem.

12.RostersandEntries

Allrosterswillbelimitedbytherulesofeachsport

ParticipationinaBISACsponsoredactivityshallbelimitedtostudentsthatareconsideredbytheirown
schooltobefulltimestudents.

Coachesshouldprovidethetournamentdirectorwithanaccurateteamrosterincludingdateofbirthatthe
sametimetheypaytheirtournamentfee.Ifacoachforgetstoprovidethis,theyarerequiredtofillitoutthe
generalBISACrosterformbyhandatthetournament.

13.WeeklyFixtures

StarttimesfornontournamentFriendlygamefixturesarescheduledfor3:30pm,unlessotherwisenotified.
Thereisanexpectationthatteamswillplayfour/fiveBISACgameswithteamsfromyourpoolthroughout
theseasonbeforetheBISACtournament.Gamesagainstthesameschoolcountpergame.
