STATEMENT
URGING CITIZENS OF ARAKAN STATE FOR CALMNESS AS MYANMAR
AUTHORITIES AND BUDDHIST EXTREMISTS ARE SET TO TRIGGER UNREST

Six members of Mro hill-tribe , professing in THE FAITH OF Buddhism and

regarded as a sub-group of Rakhine community , were found dead amid
THE forest nearby their village in southern Maungdaw on 3rd August 2017.
The predominantly peace-loving Mro COMMUNITY village is located
approximately 8 km east-ward from a model village of natala Rakhine
Buddhists COMMUNITY called 'Kainggyi.'

Preliminary findings from our investigation into the SUSPICIOUS incidence

reveal that series of criminally-inclined activities by some members of the
natala Rakhines along and across the enclaves of the Mro hill-tribe have
escalated tensions between the two Buddhist groups since last month, JULY
2017 . The tensions had peaked and subsequently led to a deadly fighting
between the Mros and the Natalas RESULTING IN THE DEATH OF 6 members
of the former ETHNIC group on 3rd August.

Nevertheless, the Myanmar authorities and armed forces, the state media
and some influential foreign media DELIBERATELY AND APPARENTLY have,
in the absense of substantial evidences, blamed ON THE Arakan Rohingya
Salvation Army (ARSA) in particular and the Rohingya ETHNIC villagers
indiscriminately for the killings of 6 Mro Buddhists COMMUNITY. On the other
hand, the Myanmar armed forces along with the extremist members of the
Rakhine community have been conducting undue raids on Rohingya villages
in Rathedaung; beating, torturing and arbitrarily arresting unarmed Civillians
since the end of July.

All these parallel incidences are IN NO WAY coincidences IN FACT are
PREPLANNED and organized crimes being EXECUTED to AGITATE the
Rakhines IN ORDER to turn THEM against the UNARMED Rohingyas
WITHAN OBJECTIVE TO trigger a REPEAT OF a 2012 -style violence. As BEING
THE UNDER-PRIVILEGED, the Citizens of the Arakan State, both Rohingyas
and Rakhines COMMUNITIES since have been gradually identifying
perpatrator in the form of the Myanmar Military WHO USE THE TOOL OF
DIVIDE AND RULE BY CREATING HORIZONTAL INTER-COMMUNAL
CONFLICTS. Therefore ,we, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA)
urge all the Citizens of Arakan state to maintain and preserve calmness,
maximum alertness, PUBLIC ORDER and Tranquility and also not to further
ALLOW the COMMON enemy to PLUNDER and PERMANANTLY destroy our
shared Ancestral home land . We also CALL UPON all the Citizens of Arakan
state to unite and fight against our historical INTRUDER who is enemy OF
HUMANITY at large and COLONIZING oppressor POPULARLY KNOWNAS
Myanmar REPRESSIVE regime.
