1. Original and two copies of the manuscript should be sent to the editor. Manuscript should be
typed on A4 size papers.
2. Manuscipt should be written as clearly and concisely as possible. The author is responsible for
providing the correct nomenclature which must be consistent and unambiguous.
3. All tables and figures should be inserted in the text, not exceeding the text margins.
4. Manuscript should be typed on one side of the paper only using one line spacing with a margin
of 3 cm on all sides. Since articles will be printed by offset printing technique, authors are
requested to submit their manuscripts on 3.5" diskettes/CD, styled as "Microsoft Word" files.
Font should be "Times New Roman" with 11pt font size.
6. Author (s)' names (full names, surnames with capital letters, no title) should written allowing
3 line spaces from the title of the article. Having more than one author, the names should be
separated with commas. By using numbers as superscripts, the institution and postal
addresses of authors must be indicated in the next line.
7. Title page of the manuscript should include title (as informative and concise as possible),
author (s)' names and their complete postal addresses. Corresponding author, indicated by an
asterisk (*), should indicate his/her fax number, telephone number and e-mail address, if
available, at the bottom of the title page.
8. All tables and figures must be cited in the text consecutively and their numbers must be
written in parenthesis. Each Table and Figure (chemical formulas, graphics, photographs,
chromatographs, spectra, etc) must have a deseriptive title at the top of the table, at the
bottom of the figure with one line space and they should be numbered with Arabic numerals
(1, 2, 3, etc). They should be referred as "Table 1" and "Figure 1" in the text. Any lettering
(symbols, numbers, etc) in the illustrations should be used in a consistent way and be of
consistent size, keeping in mind that they should remain legible after reduction to one-column
width (8.5 cm) in the journal format. Descriptive titles should be printed with 11pt font size.
Headings should not exceed the length of the tables and figures. Any footnotes to a table must
be collected below and referred in the table by superscript letters (a, b, etc). There must be
adequate space to separate the text and figures/tables. Abbreviations must be included in the
text in parentheses. Equations and formulas must be numbered consecutively and their
numbers must be written right justified in parenthesis. They must be referred within the text
by using their numbers in parentheses. Complex chemical formulas must be prepared as
figures.
10.Manuscript, including figures and tables, should not exceed 30 pages for reviews, 20 for
research articles, 10 for technieal notes and Short Communications and 5 pages for letters to
the editor.
11.Manuscripts should be organized as follows: title page, abstracts, key words, introduction,
experimental, results, discussion, conclusion and references. Each section must be separated
with 2 line spaces. The section titles (Introduction, Experimental, Results, Discussion,
Conclusion and References) must be written with bold capital letters using 12 pt font size.
Subtitles should be written in italic. There should be no line space between the section
headings and text.
Title: Font must be 14 pt, bold, in capital letters and "Times New Roman".
Abstracts: They should be written both in English and Turkish containing no more then 200
words, 10 pt and italic. Abstracts should be put in borders. Turkish abstract must include the
Turkish title. Equations, citations, uncommon abbreviations and the like should not be included
in the abstract.
Keyword : 3-6 Turkish and English keywords separated by commas must be included in the
manuscript just below the abstracts.
Introduction: It should contain a clear statement of the aim and novelty of the study.
Experimental: Materials and cxperimental procedures should be described in sufficient
detail. When animals are used, authors must indicate that approvals of the relevant
regulatory authorities or local ethical commitees were obtained and that appropriate
regulatory or local ethical commitee approvals were obtained and that informed consent was
documented.
Results: The results must be clearly and concisely described with the help of appropriate
illustrative material. Any additional cost for color figures will be entirely charged to the
authors.
Discussion: Discussion should deal with the interpretation of the results.
Conclusion: Significant findings should be summarized briefly in a paragraph.
Acknowledgement: If necessary, this section should be given at the end of the text,just before
references.References: They should be numbered with Arabic numerals (eg 1, 2) consecutively
in the order in they first appear in the paper. Cited publications should be listed in numerical
order at the end of the paper. Any non- published materials (personal communications,
unpublished results, etc.) should be cited as such in the text and not be included in the list of
references. If there is more than one author, names of all the authors should be written.

12.Electronic Submission
The original manuscript must be submitted on a CD together with three identical hard copies.
The manuscript (title page, abstract, text, figures, tables, references) needs to be saved into a
single file. The preferred storage medium is a recordable CD. Please, save your file in the
Word processor format. Label CD with your name. After final acceptance, 2 hard copies ofthe
manuscript and a copy on CD must be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief.
13.Proofs and Reprints
Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author for correction. They should be carefully
checked for typesetting errors and returned to the publisher within 48 hours upon receipt.
Following this period, the article will be published as it has appeared in the first proofs.
