India's 46th Grandmaster Srinath Narayanan will give a special

1.5-2 hours lecture on 'Improvement in Chess'.

srinath is an accomplished player with numerous achievements

to his credit. he is the former World Under-12 Champion,
former three-time Asian Junior Champion, and has had students
who have made a 200+ rating jump on a regular basis, at all levels.

srinath will additionally pair up with one of the visiting

grandmasters and answer all the doubts of the players who
want to improve their chess.

what better chance to learn from a world-class grandmaster?

the lecture will be held in the playing hall on Sunday after the
Rapid Tournament nishes, and before the Prize Distribution
Ceremony begins at 4.30 PM.

participation of foreign federation players: foreign federation players
having de id are only allowed to participate in the tournament.

players rated above 2600 will be given free accommodation in ve star
hotel. all gms, ims, wgms and wims will be provided free accommodation.

important note :
from both the aforementioned areas, chessmine will provide a bus
service in the morning and evening (time will be notied). in case of

if any student(s)/employee(s) require a special 'letter of recommendation'

or a 'requisition of leave' to take leave to play the tournament (rapids are
on saturday and sunday, while blitz is on a monday (raksha bandhan),
chessmine will specially write the signed letter for you which you can
scan and produce at your school/ofce in order to avail leave.

the venue is 12-15 kms away from both the areas mentioned above, but
most of the travel is on a highway, meaning, the transit time will be
the minimum. additionally, the bus service will make transit hassle free.
the blitz tournament on 7th august starts at 9:00 am, and hence,
city-based players are advised to reach in time to avoid the
early-morning trafc.
