Comments
Part 1:
Lejla, your journal, which has been presented as a Wordpress blog, has covered most of the required areas in good
detail, showing a good understanding of the issues associated with teaching Middle Years students. A couple of
points to note: the PMI activity in the first module required you to look at the positives, challenges and interesting
points about each of the four strategies; I could not locate the 2 extra resources for supporting Middle Years
learners; and more information was needed in the summary of curriculum documents (module 2).
You have shown evidence of your reading of course material and academic literature in your responses. Overall, a
good effort!

Part 2:
Your response to this task contains a discussion of how literacy and numeracy can be taught to Year 7 through HPE.
You have identified and described three appropriate literacy and numeracy strategies, linking them to curriculum
outcomes (although having students record data at a sports day may not be practical!). While there is some
evaluation included, this response would have been strengthened with more of a focus on evaluating the strategies
using academic literature relating to theory and research of literacy and numeracy to support your discussion.
