Its been twenty-five days since the zombies came out of the ground. How do I know? I was
there when it started, ground zero, Pitchers Cemetary. Thats where I used to work you see, as a
gravedigger and night watchman. But I guess all of that is behind me now. The government said that
they would evacuate us, but Im guessing that they gave up on us by now, I know that I would. So as far
as I see it we have to get out of here ourselves. I got myself a good group that Im traveling with, 6 of us
in total, there is Jed, hes a Doctor, Marcy, shes a lawyer or something , then theres Peter, shy kid, but
hes good to have around in a pinch, Rebecca, some sort of small time catburgler or something, Katie,
shes one of Last Stops fine upstanding law enforcers, not that theres much law to enforce around here
anymore though, and me, Im Lawrence.

Weve got a good group goin, a strong group. Weve been able to get around, find food, and
survive okay so far, but the zombies have been getting harder and more aggressive. The days not so
bad, but the nights are what really gets to you, sometimes it hard fight them off, sometimes its just hard
to survive Till Dawn.

Welcome to Till Dawn, the cooperative game of surviving the zombie outbreak. Till Dawn is a
turn based game of survival for 2 6 players. The objective of the game is to survive the zombie
outbreak and escape from the building, killing zombies and scoring points along the way. In order to
escape you need to collect a number of keys depending on the number of players : 2 keys for 2 players,
3 keys for 3 4 players, and all 4 keys for 5 6 players.

Setting Up
Each player should select a player token, and by extension one of the six survivors (see
Characters below). Each player also gets 10 health markers, represented by hearts. Place all of the
character makers in the Office to start the game off. Everyone rolls a dice, the player with the highest
roll starts the game.

The Turn Order

Each turn is broken down into 4 phases. Spawn Zombies, Determining the number of Player
Actions, Player Action Phase, and the Zombie Action Phase.

Spawn Zombies Phase

The current player consults the table below, rolls a dice, and spawns the indicated number of
zombies.

Number of Players Number of Zombies

2 1 D3*
3 1 D3 + 1
4 1 D6 + 1
5 1 D6 + 2
6 1 D6 + 3
*A D3 is a D6 divided by two, so a 1-2 = 1, 3-4 = 2, and 5-6 = 3

When spawning a zombie, start by spawning a zombie closest to the current player and moving
clockwise around the table. Each zombie can spawn at one of two locations, next to a window, an
outside edge represented by a blue line, or a hole in the ground, the purple circles. If a spawn space
already has a zombie move to the next spawn space. If a player is on a spawn space, draw a zombie
from the bag as you normally would and the primary player then attacks that player using the zombie
profile or the zombie drawn, see Zombie Attacks below. If the gold zombie is drawn to attack the
player, nothing happens. If a players health is reduced to zero, they are considered dead.

Determine the Number of Player Actions

Starting with the first player, each player rolls a D6 and gets the number of rolled as the number
of actions that they have this turn.

Player Action Phase

Each player can use their actions during this phase. Each player only gets a number equal to
their roll, unless the character they are playing gets more actions due to a special ability. Additionally
once an action is taken the player cannot undo it so think carefully. The player may make any of the
following actions:

1) Move to an adjacent square (see Movement below).

2) Attempt to unlock a door (see Unlocking a Door below).
3) Open an unlocked door.
4) Attempt to pick up a key (see Picking up Keys below).
5) Fight a zombie (see Combat below).
6) Trade items (see Items below).
7) Use items.

Zombie Action Phase

Each zombie on the board gains a number of movement actions and attack actions equal to the
value indicated on their profile (see Zombie Profiles below). All zombies, except for the Gold Zombie,
will move to and attack the closest player, if two players are the same distance, roll a dice, the player
with the lower roll is targeted. The Gold Zombie will always try and run away from all players.

Zombie Profiles

Grey Zombie HP: 1 Speed: 1 Attacks: 1 Damage: 1 Treasure: 1

Red Zombie HP: 2 Speed: 2 Attacks: 1 Damage: 2 Treasure: 1

Silver Zombie HP: 2 Speed: 1 Attacks: 1 Damage: 2 Treasure: 2

Gold Zombie HP: 1 Speed: 3 Attacks: 1 Damage: 1 Treasure: 3

Pass the Primary Player Token

After the Zombie Action Phase the primary player token is passed to the next player on the left,
and that player is now responsible for spawning the zombies this turn (in other words, if the zombies kill
the players this turn, you know who to blame).

Characters
All 6 of the survivor each have a special ability and a unique marker, even though they all have
the same amount of HP. They are as follows:

1) Jed: White pawn. Jed heals 5 HP with a health pack and can also use them on other people.
2) Marcy: Red pawn. Once per game, Marcy can stop zombies from being spawned for a turn, this
MUST be done before the dice is rolled though.
3) Peter: Green pawn. Peter does not take damage when standing on a spawn point and zombies
are spawned.
4) Rebecca: Black pawn. Rebecca gets one free Player Action per turn, this action however, must
be used to Move with.
5) Katie: Blue pawn. Katie starts with a pistol and 6 bullets and 5 points or armor.
6) Lawrence: Brown pawn. Lawrence gets one free Player Action per turn, this action however,
must be used to Attack with.

Movement
When a player decides to move their character marker they may only move into an adjacent
square, NOT diagonal squares. A player cannot move into a square that is already occupied by another
player, or by a zombie. If the payer wishes to spend two actions, they may attempt to move into a
diagonal square. To do this a player must make a roll of a 2+ on a D6 or BOTH actions are LOST.

Combat
A player attacking a zombie or getting attacked by a zombie is considered being in combat.
Unless a player is wielding a gun all attacks can only be made against a zombie in a square adjacent to
them, and a player can only use a single weapon per turn, so if you have more than one weapon choose
your weapon carefully.

Guns

When firing a gun you must have the ammo that correlates to the gun, bullets for Pistols and
shells for Shotguns. The ammo is spent after the attack and must be returned to the bag, whether or
not the attack hits.

Melee Weapons

All other weapons are considered to be melee weapons. Melee weapons, as stated above, can
only be used to attack adjacent squares, except for the Knife. The Knife can only attack a square that is
one diagonal from the current player

Fists

If a player is unarmed they use their fists to fight. When making an attack with your fists you
will always hit on a roll of a 4+ on a D6. If you are attacking a zombie that is not stunned, the zombie is
now stunned (turn it on its side to indicate this) and it must spend one of its move actions to get up. If
your target is stunned, and your attack is successful, you deal 1 point of damage.

To determine if a player has hit a zombie they must roll a dice and consult the weapon profile
card that they have. For example, if the weapon profile indicated a 3+ to hit, then any roll of a 3, 4, 5, or
6 would successfully hit the target. If a player a player hits a zombie, the zombie takes damage equal to
the number of damage on the weapon profile. If a player kills a zombie they gain treasures equal to the
number of treasures indicated in the Zombie Profile section for the zombie defeated.

Zombie Attacks

If a player is being attacked by a zombie the player to the right of them rolls a D6 to determine if
the zombie has successfully hit the player. All zombies attack successfully on a 5+, except silver zombies
which hit on a 4+. If a player is hit, that player takes damage equal to the Damage stat on the zombie
profile.

Items
When a player draws treasures from the deck some of them are added into the players weapon
pool, some give the players points (see Points below), and some can be used and saved later. If a player
picks up a weapon that they already poses they must discard the weapon into the item discard pile. If
the player draws an Armor card they either gain 5 points of armor, or regain up to 5 points of Armor,
and if the card is a First Aid Kit, they can keep it until the wish to use it. If two players want to trade they
must be in adjacent squares, and the player giving the item loses an action.
Unlocking a Door
Because the survivors are pressed to keep the undead at bay they have locked all of the doors to
slow the path of the undead, however they do not have the keys. In order to unlock all of these doors
the locks must me picked. To pick a lock a player rolls a D6 and on a result of a 4+ (a 4 or more), the
door is unlocked and players can open the door.

Picking up Keys
If a player is standing on a space that has a key symbol on it then the player may choose to pick
up the key. To do this the key must first be found, to find the key roll a D6, on a 4+ the key is found and
can be picked up. However, if a zombie is in an adjacent square the key cannot be picked up. Also,
remember that a key cannot be picked up more than once.

Points
Even though the game is cooperative each player is competing against each other to gain points
from killing zombies, collecting keys, and making it to the exit. Points can be drawn as a treasure, with
the number of points indicated on the card. Additionally 2 points are gain for every key collected and 3
points for being the first player to reach the exit and escape after all the keys have been collected.

Losing the Game

The players will lose the game if one of two conditions are met. The first condition is that no
more zombies can be spawned because there are too many on the board. The second is if all of the
players die.
