METHODOLOGY & ACTIVITIES

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The projec Strengthening & Construction of CC Pavement on Sikar-


Sujangarh-Chhapar-Chadwas-Bidasar-Nokha Road (SH-20) Km 78/500 to
80/900 & 85/700 to 105/00 (NIT Bid No. 05/2015-16 Dated 29-10-2015)

SITE APPRECIATION

A Team of our Engineer collected the information at relevant site to carry out the
reconnaissance to acquaint with field conditions within the road area. The team
gained first hand information on land use soil characteristics, us in providing
sufficient inputs for the formulation of scientific and sequential approach and
methodology for the project.

PROCESS AND METHODOLOGY

The construction procedure shall be systematic timely processing and methods


shall be smooth so that each and everybody involved should be free of stress
and tension physically and financially.
The levels will be taken at require site intervals and levels will be recorded on
crown point and at four locations on either side of crown point all theses details
will be tabulated and booklet will be made for every Km. giving complete
information including cross and longitudinal sections for preparation of cross
section. Areas and quantities for various items of work we shall be using
necessary Computer Software. The quantities given such booklets shall from
measurement for the purpose of payments
1. Site Clearance & Setting out of work

The work shall commence soon after mobilization and preliminary survey is
completed. We have considered ten days for mobilization after award of contract
or handing over possession of site which ever is after
Clearing and grubbing shall be carried out by using backhoe cum loaders, and
tippers unwanted material will be disposed off to the designated dump yards as
offered and reusable soil shall be stock piled at designated location as directed.
Scarifying of existing road surface small be carried out by using Motor graders,
heavy duty tractor and dozers with suitable attachment and scarified material
disposed off as directed.
First of all site clearance will be done within available road land width then T.B.M.
& reference pillars will be established after designing of Horizontal curves,
center line, & chain age marked on existing road level of formation G.S.B., base
course and D.B.M. & B.C. pavement will be marked on reference pillars.
Finally toe line will be marked on the ground as approved L section, X Section
and design of curves.
2. Execution of Earth work
i) Houda Cutting up to full width and widening. Houda cutting up to
required depth full and widening. So that compaction can be done by
roller required density achieved.
ii) Earth work in Embankment: First of all required tests of earth available
at site for embankment will be done. If these confirm to our
requirement, permission for laying. Embankment of Ist layer will be
obtain the Engineer and earth worked for this layers will be started in
225 mm compacted thickness by compaction vibratory rollers. When
compaction of embankment is completed up to required density. Similar
earth work will continue for all embankment layer.

3. G.S.B. (Granular Sub Base)


All required tests of G.S.B. material will be done confirming to standard laid
down for this purpose permission from engineer will be obtained and then laying
of G.S.B. will be done in required grade, camber and super elevation manually
compacted thickness respectively in different kilometers as per crust design.
Compaction will be done till desired density is achieved by sing vibrator road
roller. Water tanker with sprinkler, Tractor, Motor Grader and required labour. This
work will be completed.

4. W.M.M. ( Wet Mix Macadam)


The wet mix macadam ( WMM) Shall be prepared in an approval mixing plant of
suitable capacity installed at appropriate location in consultation with the
engineer after getting the approval of engineer. For aggregate grading the
W.M.M. will be batched to predetermined and approved laboratory mixes
optimum moisture content 1 % or more to be suitably adjusted taking in to
consideration the hot weather mining transit the mixed materials will be
transported by tippers to the site of work and tipped to the receiving surface
directly this mix is then spread by paver finisher for the main pavement under the
carriage way the surface will be checked with templates and correction done it
required by removing or adding aggregate as may be required after the mix is
laid to the required thickness grade and camber it will be uniformly compacted to
the full depth with vibratory roller of suitable capacity. Rolling with the compacted
till the desired density. after this final compaction the road will be allowed to dry
for not les then 24 hours.
5. Bituminous work :
(i) Primer Coat : Base course will be cleaned using with small pick axex,
brooms, wire brushes etc air compressor will be used. All required to emulsim will
be done and after confirmation result permission for primer coat. Will be done
and after confirmation result permission for primer coat. Will be heated for boiler
and applied required range. It will be left for curing 3 days 72 hours.
(ii) Tack Coat : the take coat applied in a single coat bituminous material on
existing road surface prepatory to super imposition of a bituminous mix.
The surface on which the take coat to be applied shall be clean from dust, dirt,
and any extraneous material. The surface shall the roughly cleaned as directed
by the engineer and shall be applied sirilai to prime coat the tack coat shall be
left to cure until all the voiaties have Eva ported before any subsequent
construction is started.
(iii) D.B.M. work & B.C. Work : All test of bitumen (S-65) will be done and after
conformation of test result permission for will be obtained from engineer. Primed
surface on widened portion ( full width) Part. And B.T. surface on existing road
portion will be cleaned using air compressor. Tack coat will be applied using
emulsim grade Rs-1 required on prepares B.T. surface and laying of B.M. will be
done by pave finisher in required grade camber and super elevation rolling will be
done by road rollers up to achieve the desired complication . traffic shall not be
allowed on B.M. surface till it be covered by 40mm ( B.C.) this work will be
completed.

6. C.D. Work Protection, Drain, C.C. :


Work open surface drain work & C.C. Pavement work & Interlocking tiles: At lest
of material to be used like cement, sand aggregate water and R.R. Stone will be
done confirming to the standard laid down. Permission will be obtained form the
engineer.
This work schedule to be started : Excavation of foundation laying of
cement concrete & Replacement construction of R.R. Stone masonry, C.C. Road
Drain work will be carried out as per approved drawings concrete mixture,
vibrator, sufficient of masons beldars and colli will be engaged to completed.

7 Road Furniture :
The Boards are being manufacture as per specification and the work of fixing of
board enter line shall be taken up in due course and shall be completed in last
month or as directed by Engineer in Charge.
The work has been planned to be completed in 12 months however the period of
hindrances and compensation events shall exclude which shall be reported to the
Engineer / Employer from time to time.

LABORATORY TEST AND QUALITY CONTROL :

Laboratory test shall be conducted by our expert technician to carry out the
results of concrete cubes, material to be used for construction before the
application and use of material, quality assurance plan shall be followed as
enclosed the test results shall be submitted in the standard format as shown in
annexure.

Preparation of Monthly quality Assurance report :

According to studies and results obtained a monthly assurance Report shall be


submitted as per the requirement shown in the bid- document.

Time Period for the service :

The construction of road shall be completed within time schedule of


Months. If there is no delay for making payments of our running bill it will
be helpful to complete the work one months before the stipulated period.

Reports:

All reports test, Quality assurance programme as mentioned in Bid-


Document shall be submitted time schedule prescribed.

Village Ganeri and Jeoli with Drain Km. 48/0 to 58/00 on Nimbi Ganeri
Laxmangarh Mukandgarh Road MDR -177 ( Ganeri, Jeoli, Garoda Section)
(NIT No. 09/2014-15. Dated 30.10.2015)

2. Execution of Earth work

at site for embankment will be done. If these confirm to our
requirement, permission for laying. Embankment of Ist layer will be
obtain the Engineer and earth worked for this layers will be started in
225 mm compacted thickness by compaction vibratory rollers. When
compaction of embankment is completed up to required density. Similar
earth work will continue for all embankment layer.

3. G.S.B. (Granular Sub Base)

of G.S.B. will be done in required grade, camber and super elevation manually
compacted thickness respectively in different kilometers as per crust design.
Compaction will be done till desired density is achieved by sing vibrator road
roller. Water tanker with sprinkler, Tractor, Motor Grader and required labour. This
work will be completed.

4. W.M.M. ( Wet Mix Macadam)


The wet mix macadam ( WMM) Shall be prepared in an approval mixing plant of
suitable capacity installed at appropriate location in consultation with the
engineer after getting the approval of engineer. For aggregate grading the
W.M.M. will be batched to predetermined and approved laboratory mixes
optimum moisture content 1 % or more to be suitably adjusted taking in to
consideration the hot weather mining transit the mixed materials will be
transported by tippers to the site of work and tipped to the receiving surface
directly this mix is then spread by paver finisher for the main pavement under the

for not les then 24 hours.

completed.

6. C.D. Work Protection, Drain, C.C. :

of material to be used like cement, sand aggregate water and R.R. Stone will be
done confirming to the standard laid down. Permission will be obtained form the
engineer.

7 Road Furniture :
