"Bib-Nose" pattern regulating landing valve is
eld adjustable which allows the user to set the
valve outlet pressure as desired according to
the conditions of the re protection system in
which the valves are installed.
The valve comes with screw, GF-S-65BN-
HP or ange inlet, GF-F-65BNHP connections.
The design and construction of the landing
valve are strictly in accordance with BS5041 :
GF-S-65-BNHP
Part 1 : 1987 and generally to BS5154 : 1991
standards.
It is suitable for connection to a high pres-
sure water supply of up to 21 bars (300 PSI) and
provide a constant reduced outlet pressure
which can be set in-situ during testing and com-
missioning of the re protection system.
This constant uniform set outlet pressure
of the valve, irrespective of its' location in which
it is installed either in a high rise building or
off-shore plants safeguards the reman from
inconsistent hose pressures in a re situation.
The selection of the materials in the man-
ufacture of the valve are all corrosion resistant,
tough and durable. This ensures the product
long-life plus providing an efcient service in the
time of need.
The shut-off of the valve for good
water-tight sealing is achieved by using a high

"BIB-NOSE" PATTERN HIGH PRESSURE REGULATING LANDING VALVE
OPERATION
When the valve is open, the inlet pressure ows into the upper part of the pressure
chamber. By adjusting the spring below, a balance pressure of these two forces determines
the degree of the valve opening to maintain a constant outlet pressure.
When the valve outlet pressure is regulated, it will remain set unless it is being
tempered. The valve outlet pressure setting can only be regulated under a "owing" condi-
tion. A small ow coming out of the valve outlet is sufcient to perform the task.
The valve counter-balance spring design allows the outlet pressure range to be regu-
lated between 3.5 and 12 bars. The inlet pressure ranges from 5.7 to 21 bars.

globe pattern landing valves with screw inlet
connection comes in four different congura- GF-S-65OBLP
tions namely, GF-S-65OBLP "Oblique", Oblique
GF-S-65RALP "Right-Angle", GF-S-65BNLP
"Bib-Nose" and GF-S-65HRLP "Horizontal"
patterns.
The design and construction of the land-
ing valves are strictly in accordance with
BS5041 : Part 1 : 1987 & generally to BS5154 :
1991 standards. The valves are suitable for both
on-shore and off-shore re protection applica-
tions.
water-tight sealing is done by using a high quali-
ty rubber bonded seat disc which acts as a GF-S-65RALP
primary rubber to metal seal, whilst a secondary Right-Angle
metal to metal shut-off is also incorporated in
the design of the valve.
Every landing valve manufactured is
hydrostatically tested to 16.5 bars and 22.5 bars
for the valve seat and body respectively. The
internal casting nishes of every valve is of high
quality ensuring a low ow restriction that meets
the standard's water ow test requirement. The
hydrant valve comes complete with standard

2-WAY AND 4-WAY
BREECHING INLET
GENERAL
GF-BI4 4-Way and GF-B12 2-Way type
breeching inlets are designed, constructed
and manufactured in accordance with BS
5041 : Part 3 : 1975.
of the breeching inlets are in conformity to the
standard's requirement. The body is casted
from spheroidal graphite iron and the inlets are
made of BS1400 LG2 gunmetal and copper GF-B14
alloy parts with bronze spring, stainless steel
locknut, washer, etc.,
The internal part of the breeching inlet
bodies are coated with "black" epoxy cold tar
paint which is a good anti-corrosion protec-
tion.
The inlet blank caps are rubber with
chrome chain. Brass or gunmetal blank caps
are also available on request.
The breeching inlets are individually
hydrostatically tested on the body and inlets
at 20 bars (approx. 300 PSI) and the non-return
valves are tested to 1.7 bars (approx. 25 PSI) to
ensure that no leaks are evident under such
low pressure as required by the standard.
The 2-Way and 4-Way outlet ange
GF-B12
connections are 100mm and 150mm PN16 FF
(standard) respectively. Other ange connec-
tions eg., BS10 Table 'D' or 'E', ANSI #150
at-face (FF) or raised-face (RF) are available
upon request.
