WhatyouwilllearninENTECH
Comingfromdifferentbackgrounds, youwillfirstgetacommonknowledgeinenergyengineering.Thisis
donebytheBasicCourses:

e.g. heat transfer, fluid mechanics, power electronics, engineering

mechanics,electricalmachines,
the combination of the classes depends on your background, e.g. if you
have a Bachelor in mechanical engineering you will deepen your
knowledge in subjects like electrical machines or power electronics,
whereas electrical engineers will attend courses in thermodynamics or
fluidmechanics

Then you choose two Main Subjects to deepen your knowledge in different specialisations, which
differ between the collaboratinguniversities.Youwillcomplete onemainsubjectduring yourfirststudy
yearandthesecondoneduringthefollowingyearatanotherpartneruniversity.Youcanchoosetwoof
thefollowingsubjects:

thermalpower chemical energyin decentralisedpower

plants engineering buildings supplyandgridcontrol
nuclearand utilityfacilities energy renewableenergyand
fusion economicsand energystorage
technology informatics

Duringyourstudies,youwilltakeintoaccounteconomicandsocialaswellaslegalandecologicalaspects
of different energy technologies and their implementation. A special emphasis is put on innovation
andmanagementprocesses; you learn the basics of product development and how innovations
couldberealizedincompanies.Theissuesdealtwithinyourprojectworkand,lateroninthecourseof
studies,particularlyinthe masterthesis,areprimarilyissuesfromindustrywithpracticalrelevance,or
elsetheyarepartofalargerresearchproject,whichiscarriedouttogetherwithapartnerfromindustry.
