The growing fish need to have a diet to have a healthy and better growth. Based
on the article of [1] Pandey (2014), the growing fish need to have a protein, fats for the
source of energy, carbohydrates, minerals, and vitamins. Not only humans need them
for their body, but also animals like fishes.
Protein said to have a over 200 amino acids occur but 20 only are common, 10 of
these must supplied for fish diets; methionine, arginine, threonine, tryptophan, histidine,
isoleucine, lysine, leucine, valine and phenylalanine. The most
The fats is a high-energy nutrients that can be used by the tilapia for have their
energy to use, but too much of fats can damage the liver of the fish and decrease the
market quality of the fish.
Vitamins are the other one that the fish needs. It has to be water-soluble and fat-
soluble. Water soluble includes the vitamin B, choline, inositol, folic acid, pantothenic
acid , biotin and ascorbic acid or vitamin C. The vitamin C is the most important in this
because it helps fish for their immune system and it is a powerful antioxidant. Fat-
soluble includes vitamins A, retinols for responsible for vision; the D vitamins,
cholecaciferols for bone integrity; E vitamins, the tocopherols for antioxidants; and K
vitamins such as menadione for blood clotting, skin integrity. Vitamin E has the most
attention to give because it has a role as an antioxidant.
