    PEEK is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic with outstanding heat resistance up to 260°C, rigidity at high temperatures, long-term stability, and resistance to chemicals and hydrolysis; however, it has very high costs and requires processing at high temperatures, and it can be attacked by some strong acids and has low UV resistance. PEEK also has excellent insulation properties, dimensional stability, biocompatibility, and flame retardance.
