Procedures

A. I can follow directions given by adults without arguing.

1. No talking back.
2. No questioning .
B. I can respect others and their properties.
1. No taking others materials.
2. No arguing/ fighting with others.
3. Let teacher know if your being disrespected.
C. I can raise my hand and not interrupt others.
1. Do not shout out.
2. Wait to be called on.
3. Use hand signals.
D. I can take responsibility for my actions.
1. When a mistake is made, find an appropriate way to correct it.
2. Do not say "It wasn't me" , or " I didn't do anything".
3. Stay calm and safe.
4. Think before you act/say the wrong thing.
E. I can remain in my assigned area, unless given permission.
1. Remain in your seat or at your group.
2. Teacher must know where you are at all times.
3. Use hand signals.
4. Most common infraction.
Common Infractions and Solutions

Infraction Solution
Excessive Talking Raise hand or wait for an appropriate time.
Out of Area Get permission before moving.
Horseplay Avoid peers who get you off-task.
Inappropriate Conduct (touching/name calling) Stay in area/ avoid peers
Disrespect Treat others the way you would like to be
treated.
If you don't have anything nice to say, then
don't say anything.
Think before acting.
Off-task/ Not Following Directions Pay attention.
Look to see what others are doing.
Ask a student that is on task.
Lack of Materials Put a daily material check list in your locker.
Check for materials before and after school.
Make a list of items you need.
Consequences

1. Warning
a. Losing a point.
b. A redirection is a warning.
2. Parent Contact (call or email)
a. Can be given at anytime depending on severity and frequency of infractions.
b. Negative points for the week will result in a parent contact.
3. Detention Assigned
a. After School
b. Parents will be contacted to setup detention.
4. Office Referral
a. Parents will be contacted.
b. Can be given at anytime depending on severity of infraction.
5. Removal from Class
a. Referral will be written.
b. Parents will be contacted.
