DAEWOO TYRE WARRANTY LETTER FOR REPLACEMENT MARKET

General Rule

1. Coverage
The policy covers all the PCR and TBR tyres manufactured by DAEWOO BRAND TYRE, and sold in the

replacement market.

2. Period of Validity
Any DAEWOO TYRE with a complete serial number is covered against defects in workmanship and materials for 3

years from date of purchase. After that time, the warranty is terminated.

Notice: The tire age calculated from the date of purchase. If the proof of purchase is not available, the tire date of

manufacture will be applied.

3. Warranty Exclusions:

3.1 The following are not covered by this policy:

3.1.1 Tires sold as a blemish or downstream tyres.

3.1.2 Tires repaired and retreaded.

3.1.3 Tires beyond the warranty time limitation

3.2 The tread wear and damage will not be covered by the warranty influenced by the following conditions.

3.2.1 Transportation accident (including puncture, cut, impact breaks, crack-up), wreck, collision etc.

3.2.2 Fire, accident or vandalism including misalignment, wheel imbalance, abnormal vibration and

brake.

3.2.3 Improper inflation, overloading, over speed, misapplication, misuse, oversight, racing or unsuitable

mounting and abnormal disassembling, vehicle mechanical dandification or wear .

3.2.4 Damage or indirect damage result from Aging, inconvenience, mechanical usage

3.2.5. Match with improper inner, resistance board and O ring

3.2.6 Irrelevant repair and storage.

3.2.7 After the tyre is away from factory, the appearance is changed consciously (For example, put a

white tessera in the black tyre)

3.2.8 After the tyre is away from factory, tyre material is added (Such as tyre stuffing, encapsulate or

counterweight).

3.2.9 Uniformity or vibration claims on tyres purchased more than 6 months prior to presentation for

adjustment, or if proof of purchase is not available, more than 6 months after the manufacture date.

3.3 Exclusion:

DAEWOO TYRE will not bear any indirect loss, time loss, vehicle loss and inconvenient loss within allowable scope

of the law.

4. Ownership of Failure Tyres

Any failure tyre compensated for all cost or on a pro-rata according to this policy is the possession of DAEWOO

TYRE and will be kept for 3 months by oversea dealers. Meanwhile, oversea dealers should make records of the

failure tyres and keep in file. After 3 months, the tyres can be disposed by oversea dealers.

5. Owner obligations:

5.1 Owner must guarantee to use tyre under a standard pressure, loading and speeding.

5.2 In order to be eligible for DAEWOO brand RADIAL TYRES limited warranty service, owner must present

the defective tyre and documents with sales date to a dealer or a representative authorized by DAEWOO TYRE.

POLICY OF WARRANTY

Any tire covered by this policy that becomes unserviceable due to a covered warranty condition, such tire will, on

a pro-rata basis as following standard, be adjusted by DAEWOO TYRE..

1. TBR TYRE

1.1 POLICY OF WARRANTY

Adjustment
1.1.1. Coverage 100

In case of any TBR tyres with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if the remaining

tread depth is worn out by less than 3.0MM(less than 1.6MM for the out of round and out of

balance), the DAEWOO will give 100% adjustment per the benchmark price.

1.1.2. Coverage adjustment on a pro rata remaining tread depth

In case of any TBR tyres with defects in the workmanship and materials, if the remaining tread

depth is worn out by more than 3.0MM and the remaining tread depth is worn out by not less

than 1.6MM, DAEWOO will give the adjustment on a pro-rata basis multiplying the

Adjustment Benchmark Price.

1.1.3. No Warranty

Once the tread remaining depth is less than 1.6MM, the tire is considered worn out completely

and no more adjustment.

2.2 MEASURE OF REMAINING TREAD DEPTH

1) Vernier caliper is used when measuring, avoiding the wearing mark. The bottom of caliper spans in

the measuring groove, and the vernier caliper must be vertical to the bottom of groove.

2) For longitude pattern tyre: The position of measurement is groove depth of middle line on the tread.

Measure the depth of four equal indexes on the tread circle, and the average value of the four data is

regarded as the remaining tread depth and keep one decimal digits.

For lateral or block pattern tyre: The position of measure is groove depth of middle line on the tread

near to the wear mark. Measure the depth of four equal indexes on the the tread circle, and the

average value of the four data is regarded as the remaining tread depth and keep one decimal digits.

3) DAEWOO TBR Tyres Pattern List see the DAEWOO technical standard,the adjusted percentage is

defined by DAEWOO International Tire Team.

2. PCR Tyre

2.1 Policy of Warranty

2.1.1. In case of any PCR tyres with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if they are

worn out less than 15% of the original depth, DAEWOO will give 100% adjustment per

the benchmark price.

2.1.2 Coverage Ajustment on a pro rata remaining tread depth

In case of any PCR tyres with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if the tread

are worn out more than 15% of original depth, and the remaining tread depth is more

than 25% of original depth, DAEWOO will give the adjustment on a pro-rata basis

multiplying the Adjustment Benchmark Price.

2.1.3 No Warranty

Once the tread remaining depth is less than 25% of original depth, the tire is considered

worn out completely and no more adjustment.

2.2 MEASURE OF REMAINING TREAD DEPTH
