G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Information and Communication Technology Syllabus (Revised) Grades 12 and 13 (For G.C.E. (A/L) Examination to be held in 2015 onwards) Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Science and Technology, National Institute of Education, Maharagama, 10 Introduction Information and Communication Technology has been dentfed worldwide as a too! that can be used to improve productivity, ceficiency and effectiveness of organizational work and the dally activites of individuals. Therefore, providing an adequate level OF ICT knowledge and skils, at diferent levels of education, is important for the students to progress and contibute towards national development, ‘The current Sri Lankan Secondary Education System has been substantially exposed to ICT through various programmes Including CAL, ICT for GCE (O/L) and GIT at grade 12.
