7th Annual Cloverdale Blueberry Festival

For fun, for prize, come eat a whole pie

It just wouldn’t be a food-
themed festival without a pie eat-
ing contest. And the annual Clo-
verdale Blueberry Festival does
not disappoint in this regard. Be
sure to check out this entertaining
event in downtown Cloverdale.
The pie-eating contest is co-
ordinated by Carolyn Orazietti,
though she says for this event,
she’s better known as ‘The Pie
Lady’.
“The weirdest moments happen
at the pie eating contest,” Orazietti
states.
She has stories that range from
a kid with a blueberry stuck so far
up his nose – he was trying to pick
it out with his finger – to teenage
girls that start the competition
and then realize they don’t want
to look like pigs so they only take
a few dainty bites.
