The transformation is used to establish

equivalence for networks with three terminals. Where
three elements terminate at a common node and none
are sources, the node is eliminated by transforming the
impedances. For equivalence, the impedance between
any pair of terminals must be the same for both
networks.

Discussion
The objective of the experiment is to look for
the total resistance and the total current of a specific
circuit design using experimentation and computation
and comparing its value. But the laws of series and
parallel connections are cannot be used simply for
computing the required data of the circuit because of
the nodes included on the circuit. Nodes are used to
divide the current crossing across the wires through the
resistors. The Delta wye transformation is used to
remove the nodes which divide the current across the
three paths or wires. After using this method thus
removing the nodes in the circuit, the laws of series and
parallel circuits are now can be applied to solve for the
required data acquiring an accurate data for the
experimental value versus the computed value,
including a percent error acceptable because of the
temperature coefficient of the resistors used for the
experiment.

Synthesis
Delta wye transformation are used because
the laws of series and parallel circuit are not supported
when a node is included in a circuit. The laws of series
and parallel circuits are cannot be applied because the
initial current is divided across different circuits making
it impossible to solve for the total current, total
resistance or the total voltage of the devices included in
a circuit, thus applying the Delta wye transformation
