EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1.1 TITLE
Project proposal for design and prototype development an of E-Bike frame de-
sign.

1.2 OBJECTIVES
Design and development of prototype of E-bike frame meeting clients require-
ment to the fullest wherever possible.

1.3 COMPANY PROFILE

Inoventric is a startup engineering company. We are privately owned with a head
office in Chennai and affiliate offices in Chennai and its surroundings. Since our
establishment from beginning of 2017, we aim in providing quality engineering
services to clients in INDUSTRY. The ownership group are working members
of our teams involved in all aspects of a project from conception to schematic
to final design and continuing through to the end of the prototype construction.
Our team also has some renowned peoples from various INDUSTRY as a board
of advisors for aiding in providing innovative solutions that meet our clients
needs in an effective and efficient manner. Inoventric works in collaboration
with our clients and their other engineering teams to provide quality engineering
service as required by client.

1.4 Scope of Work

Inoventric is contracted by client (Deepak) for the design and development of
prototype of an E-Bike frame based on the specification and requirements pro-
vided through e-mails from client (Deepak) for financial consideration of ru-
pees of 2.55 lacs and with timeline of 9 months from the starting date of the
project. This deadline may elongate if any changes are requested in requirement
or specs based on mutual consent during the life cycle of the project. Inoventric
is responsible for all work of their sub-consultants/sub-contractors to meet the
requirements of the project.

DETAILED PROPOSAL

2.1 Milestones
The proposed project is to be done in following five milestones

2.1.1 Milestone 1
Milestone 1 scope
This milestone focuses on literature survey for available frames of an E-Bike.
The literature data is used to identify suitable material and manufacture pro-
cesses. Also benchmarking of various frames are performed to gain insight on
suitable and economical viable frame design. In addition to it criteria such as
cost of fabrication of frame, cost of material and legal criteria for the frame in
Europe.

2.1.2 Milestone 2
Milestone 2 scope
This milestone focuses on generation of ideas for the design of the frame and
concept design. The milestone processes such as Brainstorming of ideas, FMEA,
Cost benefit analysis and rough concept sketching to create a rough concept
design of the E-Bike frame.

2.1.3 Milestone 3
Milestone 3 scope
This milestone focuses on concept designing of the E-Bike frame and validation
of the design . Based on ideation and rough concepts and refined and detailed
concept design is created. This concept design is then validated with various
CAE softwares and experts. All the standards, requirement and specs are to be
finalized at this phase.

Milestone 4 scope
This milestone focuses on detailed designing of the E-Bike frame and validation
and optimization of the design. Based on engineering analysis data and experts
advices the detailed design is created taking requirement and specs also into
account from client side. The deliverable of this milestone will be the base for
prototype fabrication.

This milestone focuses on documentation of the complete project. The docu-
ments comprises of individual milestone reports, technical data, design specs,
manufacturing drawings and other project related documents. This document
serves as a frame manufacturing guideline and also future reference for further
development of the E-Bike.
