MBA Port & Shipping

The Post graduate programs offered by UPES are customized to the requirements of the Port &
Shipping industry. A balanced approach has been followed while designing these programs, so that the
students can develop both academic and application strengths in their chosen domains. UPES
encourages and initiates continuous feedback from the industry experts and practicing Port &
Shipping Management Professionals in making its programs globally competitive.

The academic curriculum is designed to provide the students with comprehensive knowledge and in-
depth understanding to handle the challenges experienced by the ever growing port & shipping
industry. The core modules of this program focus on providing essential management skills to the
students in order to manage the development and operational needs of Ports and allied infrastructure.

The delivery methodology comprises a rich mix of case studies, lectures, guest lectures, interactive
group work, presentations, discussions, tutorials, live projects, summer internships and directed self
study. Break-up of MBA Port & Shipping Students on the basis of
Students’ knowledge of the theory, practice and execution of business decisions is further their prior qualification
supplemented with frequent interactions with Industry leaders as well as policy framers in the form of
guest lectures.
