WHAT IS TED?
TED is a non- prot organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading.
TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design- three broad
subject areas that are shaping our future. Started as a four-day
conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to
support those world- changing ideas with multiple initiatives.
The two annual TED Conference invite the worlds leading thinkers
and doers to speak for 18 minutes on diverse mix of topics.

TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth


Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Isabel Allende and Shahrukh Khan.

WHAT IS TED ? x

What is TEDx: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a


program of local, self-organized events that bring people
together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED
Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion
and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded
TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

TEDx Talk : A TEDx presentation is a talk of 18 minutes or less


that conveys some of the most innovative ideas on the planet
w i t h a p a s s i o n . T E D a n d T E D x s p e a ke r s t a c k l e h u m a n i t y s
toughest questions, attempting to answer them with innovation,
enterprise and enduring optimism.

in the spirit of the TED conference and its mission, Ideas worth spreading.
TEDxShivNadarUniversity oers interactive, immersive experiences for all participants,
from speakers to attendees.
On Sunday,November 12, 2017, TEDxShivNadarUniversity will present its second edition
of daylong multidisciplinary conference championing great ideas, bringing together
engaging speakers, performers, participants and exhibitors.
As TEDxShivNadarUniversity in its rst edition experienced speakers like Isher Ahluwalia-
