Principals/Heads/Officers-in-Charge Administrative Officer V Public and Private Schools All Others Concerned 1, The Iloilo City Schools Division Office ($DO), Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) in coordination with the Division Youth for Environment in Schools Advisers Association (DYESAA) and in support to SDO Project BRAINSS (Building Research Awareness and Interests to Nurture Scientific Skills), will conduct a One (1) day Division Orientation- Conference on Science Investigatory Project (SIP) on August 18, 2017 from 8:00 A.M to }0 P.M at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Mabini St., Iloilo City. 2. The activity aims to: 2.1 enhance competence of teachers on the conduct of science investigatory projects (SIPs); and 2.2 acquire knowledge and skills of teachers on appropriate research designs and statistical tools in the conduct of SIPs. 3. Participants to this activity are the following: 3.1 Two (2) Science investigatory project (SIP) advisers/coaches from: > Public Secondary schools (Junior High School and Senior High Schoo!) » Public Elementary Schools (ESM/SSES/Regular class) 3.2. One (1) SIP Adviser/coach from the Private Schools, who are advised to confirm their participation through theirDistrict Office on or before August 14, 2017.4. A registration fee of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) will be charged to each Participant to cover food (2 snacks and 1 lunch) and materials. Registration fee and other incidental expenses incurred relative to the participation in this activity are chargeable against school funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 5. Particular attention is invited to the following enclosures: 5.1 Enclosure No. 1, which provides the Activity Matrix; and 5.2 Enclosure No. 2, which specifies the Working Committees. 6. Public Secondary School Heads and Public Schools District Supervisors are requested to submit the names of their participants to the Schools Division Office, Attention: Mary Regina N. Alkonga, Ed. D., Education Program Supervisor- Science or email to mary.alkonga@deped.qov.phon or before August 14, 2017. 7. A meeting will be held in preparation for the activity on August 4, 2017, 3: 00 - 5: 00 P.M at the Schools Division Office Conference Room, to be attended by Working Committee representatives, Division YES - O Coordinator and DYESAA President. 8.
