PRIMARY SCHOOL MUSIC TEACHER

PBS Primary Schools are looking for an outstanding music teacher to join our thriving Music
Department. We are seeking teachers who possess significant experience in the teaching of
music and who have a clear view on the importance of music education. We welcome
applications from enthusiastic, conscientious and dedicated professionals.

Starting date: Wednesday 16th August 2017

The successful candidate will be able to deliver Music to students aged 3 11 in an organised
and creative way, in order to engage students and encourage a love of music. Knowledge and
experience working with students for whom English is an additional language, would be
beneficial.
Candidates will be responsible for the ensuring the profile of music in the Primary School
remains high. In addition to teaching classroom lessons and being a capable all-round
musician, responsibilities will also include: running music clubs, leading Key Stage 1 and
Key Stage 2 singing and choirs, rehearsing with our Parent Choir, assisting with primary
assemblies, helping co-ordinate primary school productions and working collaboratively with
the senior school music department.
