Course description: Vectors, infinite series, Taylor's theorem, solid analytic geometry,
partial derivatives, multiple integrals with applications. Interpretations and calculations
using Matlab software. Prereq.

Grading policy:

1. Final exam: 40%.


2. Three Exams: 35%
3. Math LAB: 10%
4. Home works: 10%
5. Class Participation: 5%

Responsibilities and class decorum: More than 4 unjustifiable absences are considered
excessive for failing. (2 lateness = 1 absence). After 2 absences point will be deducted
from your final grade as follows:

>5 Fail the course

The consumption of food and drink is prohibited during class.


You may not leave the classroom without permission once the class is in session.
Please turn off all cell phones, MP3 players and the like.
Plagiarism and cheating are violations of cunys policy on academic integrity.

There will be given 3 Exams


There is no makeup Exam. The final exam score will replace one lowest grade.

Attendance and participation:

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the class on regular basis.


Participation is strongly encouraged. It is not just about answering questions. Asking
questions is also considered class participation.

Attendance and Lateness:

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of class. If students are late twice, that is
considered as one absence. For your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th absence, 1, 2, and 4 point(s) will
be taken off your final grade respectively. You will be assigned a WU (failing) grade if
you accumulate 5 unexcused absences.

Tutoring:
Tutoring is available in the Marshak Building, room 418S. The schedule of the tutoring
center:
Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday: 12pm to 5pm
Friday: 12-4pm

Academic Integrity:
Any act of academic dishonesty will be dealt with by applying the most stringent
penalties permitted. Cheating includes but is not limited to receiving help during exams.
