English is just a simply complex language.

Even there are approximately 375 million

people who speak English as their first language. That makes it the third largest after Mandarin
Chinese and Spanish. Its the most widely taught foreign language in the world. English has been
the worlds universal language for many years. Much of the worlds business is conducted in
English. International treaties make it the official language for all maritime and aeronautical
communications. However, even though the language is widely used, its not easy to learn. There
are many confusing oddities such as homophones, homographs, homonyms, and inconsistent
spellings that conspire to make English difficult to learn and easy to misunderstand. So lets just
face it, this fact makes English as a ridiculous language. How come we ship things by car, but
send cargo by ship? We have noses that run, and feet that smell? How can we fill in a form by
filling it out? How the alarm goes off by going on? When the stars are out, they are visible. But if
the lights are out, why you can't see them? Why do we say "heads up" when we actually duck?
And there are more confusing English phrases out there which can be easily misinterpreted if the
receiver is just an English beginner.

Some of the complexes of this language are its prepositions and linking verbs. (that in
the first place, I also dont understand why linking verbs are called verbs or action words.
Seriously, how can you do or act is, are, will, etc.? Are they called verbs because theyre
doing an action themselves such as linking the subjects and predicate? No one knows, I guess.)
Even these are just little things and short words, yet they have the unexplainable power to make
the idea of a sentence to inverse. This scenario of the English language makes itself to be a
complicated one for those individuals who just hardly understands the language. Lets take the
given conversation as our example. John, a native English Speaker, agrees to Chen, a Native
Chinese who barely recognize English words, on his idea. So John said I couldnt agree with
you more. We could notice the sentence is composed of a linking verb couldnt and a
preposition with. And these little tricksters made the sentences idea to inverse which
suggesting that for John, he is actually agreeing. But since Chen could barely understand
English, he just recognized the words could not and agree, resulting that he misinterpreted
Johns feedback. And who knows? This scenario might result into confusion, idea cancelation or
argument.
We could say that English is like a creative patchwork. An individual could make
different ways of sentence constructions with different words just to express a certain idea. This
process results in vocabulary size that is somewhat larger than necessary. This is not a bad thing
per se; it adds some expressive power to English and makes it a good starting point for learning
interest. However, this can be a huge nuisance to learners and beginners since one should
understand the whole picture of the sentence, not just the basic and raw words, for the intended
idea to be interpreted correctly.

And this last paragraph will not give you any information or any idea related to the topic.
So, I am suggesting that you should stop reading from here, in this exact point. I am serious
about this paragraph and I just wrote this so that my essay will be looked longer and reach 500
words. I dont why you are still reading up to here but I am appreciating that you gave effort to
read my whole essay. And thats all, Thank you very much. And please stop reading now. There
are other outputs in the back that are more interesting. Im just maximizing the second page and
making my print expense worth. But thats all, seriously now.
