Experiential RP

For this units experiential homework, I went to McAlisters for lunch. When I got to the

front of the line, the cashier lady asked me Hi how are you today? I said Im alright, how

about you? She seemed pretty surprised but I dont think she wanted to keep the

conversation going because the line was so long. I asked her: Does the veggie chili have any

dairy in it? She seemed confused because thats a weird question to ask. She told me that it

didnt, so I asked if I could have the Spud Ole with no cheese. I had to repeat it for her about

three times. Im not sure whether it was because I wasnt enunciating enough or that no one

ever asked for a spud without cheese.

I was really nervous while talking to her, because I felt like my cover would be blown or

she would see right through the faade. But in the end it was fine. I was relieved when it was

over. The lady was really nice to me, and usually I find that people working in the downstairs

caf hate their lives. I think she treated me more nicely than she would have than when I was

using my normal voice. Thats just because I would do the same thing.
