a grade E or above, CIE will award an AS Level grade a to e in the subject.
Only subjects in which A Level grades A* to E and AS Level grades a to e are achieved will be recorded on certificates.

GCE O Level Examinations


GCE O Level results are reported on a 6-point scale of grades: A*, A, B, C, D, or E, grade A* being the highest and grade E the lowest.
Only subjects in which grades A* to E are attained will be recorded on certificates.

IGCSE Examinations
IGCSE results are reported on an 8-point scale of grades: A*, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, grade A* being the highest and grade G the lowest.
Only subjects in which grades A* to G are attained will be recorded on certificates.

All Examinations
Ungraded indicates that the candidate has failed to reach the standard required for a pass.
No Result indicates that a result cannot be issued because of absence for the whole or part of the examination in the syllabus or because of a decision not to issue a
result for some other reason.
Pending indicates that a result cannot be issued at present but will follow in due course.
