Lighting technology is the technique that studies the different forms of

production of light (artificial)
Light

Technically, light is a form of energy that forms part of the electromagnetic

spectrum visible to the human eye.
Color

Color as such does not exist.

Bodies have only certain
properties of reflecting,
transmitting, or absorbing the
colors of light (certain Wave) that
they receive
Psychological Influence of Color

Cold Light (cold colors: violet, blue, etc).

They are depressing and give a sense of space and distance.
Its wavelength is short

 Warm light (warm colors: yellow, orange, red, etc. Long wavelength).

They express fire, sunlight, heat, joy, life

Basic concepts

Light bulb
Generic term for a man-made light source.

denote sources that emit radiation in

Luminary

A lighting apparatus which distributes, filters

or transforms light emitted by one or more
light bulbs and includes all the parts
necessary for support, fixing and protection of
the bulbs, but not the bulbs themselves and,
where necessary, the auxiliary circuits with
the Means to connect them to the power
supply.
Incandescent lamps

The light is produced by heating a filament, which produces energy in the form
of light, 5% and 95% heat simultaneously. With which practically all the energy in
the form of heat is wasted.
Halogen lamps:

Also known as beef or dichroic eyes, they are small

slightly better than incandescent ones.

ones as well as its price.

yellowish.
LED bulbs

Usually when talking about a led bulb

are all advantages except the price,
which tend to be more expensive
than the rest of bulbs but its useful
life may be responsible for the high
price.
A led bulb brings more brightness
than an incandescent and the light is
not concentrated in a single point,
they are distributed as they are
composed of many LED diodes inside.
Other basic concepts

Luminous flux is the amount of light (visible radiation) emitted by a source.
