Actually European Renaissance began in 14th Century in Italy.


Renaissance means- Revival/ Regeneration/ Rebirth of classical (ancient
Greek) learning, culture and free thinking.
Renaissance is an Italian word (French). It is considered the bridge
between the Middle ages and the Modern history.
It is first spread in Florence city and then spread in Venice and Rome cities.
But in Ingland Renaissance is start in 1500.
The Renaissance period is also called Rediscovery of Ancient Civilization
of Greece and Rome.
Its also called Early Modern Period. It started as a Cultural Movement in
Italy.
Father of Renaissance/ Father of Humanism are Italian poet Petrarch.
