RESOURCE GUIDE & DIRECTORY

September 1, 2017

Dear Colorado State Employee,

Each and every day, Colorado state government employees pave the way
for our state to be one of the very place best places to live, work, and play.

For example, May 31, 2017, was a typical day on I-25 and Belleview until
a fuel tanker caught fire, making one of the busiest stretches of highway
in the state impassable. By 5 a.m. the next day the road was open to
commuters, far ahead of the schedule many had anticipated. For CDOT
workers this may have seemed like just another day at the office, but for
those they serve it was nothing short of a miracle.

In addition to serving their fellow Coloradans through their daily work, state
employees are also among the strongest supporters of our states dynamic
nonprofit community. Since 1988, they have given nearly $33million to
hundreds of groups representing important causes and every corner of the
state. The Colorado Combined Campaign, our annual workplace giving
program, has evolved into a charitable institution upon which many in our
communities depend and all of us, as state employees, can be proud.

I hope youll join me and your many colleagues in making a donation to

the CCC this year. Your gift of whatever size is both very much needed
and much appreciated. Thank you again for everything you do to make
Colorado great!

Sincerely yours,

John W. Hickenlooper

Dear colleague,

As state employees, we are fortunate to have an easy, efficient

and empowering way to donate to our communitiesthrough our
workplace giving campaign, the Colorado Combined Campaign.

The CCC puts you in charge of your giving. You can choose from more
than 600 nonprofits that represent 23 cause areas and every corner of
the state. You also decide how to give. The vast majority of employees
give through payroll contribution, a few dollars each pay period. This
makes workplace giving one of the most popular and personally
satisfying ways to give. Everyone can be a philanthropist.

There is no minimum donation, and signing up is simple, either with

a paper form or online. If you gave online last year you can quickly
renew your pledge by simply following the new prompts. When
our many thousands of donors come together to give, theres great
strength. It keeps administrative costs low, both for the campaign and
the recipient charities.

As Winston Churchill said, We make a living by what we get. We make

a life by what we give. I encourage you to donate to this important
campaign and help show why state employees are among the most
giving, caring and sharing of Coloradans!

Sincerely yours,

June Taylor

How to use
this guide
This guide contains information about all of the nonprofits (close to 600)
that are eligible for funding through the 20172018 campaign. They
are organized by cause area (starting on page 5) and alphabetically
with page references (page 12), as well as by the giving federation that
represents them in the campaign (page 19). (Within this section, you
can also find state college and university foundations, and state service
organizationsnonprofits who work with state agencies to address
societal concerns.) The best way to look for groups by geography is to
search the giving federation listings. The CCC partners with United Way
organizations across the state (12 of them) to ensure that your donation
goes to the local nonprofit you have designated.
