Good morning Mam Geraldine and good morning classmates.

I am here to report the things about our

heart.

The heart is a hollow muscular organ. The main function of the heart is to pump blood through the
blood vessels by repeated, rhythmic contractions. The blood needs to circulate in order to put oxygen
into the blood and take the carbon dioxide out.

The heart is located in the chest cavity between the lungs.

The heart works like a pumping machine. It pumps blood with less oxygen or unoxygenated blood and
blood with oxygen or oxygenated blood.

The unoxygenated blood passes through SUPERIOR and INFERIOR VENA CAVA. The RIGHT ATRIUM
receives the blood and passes through TRICUSPID VALVE. Then the blood now is passed though RIGHT
VENTRICLE and pumped through PULMONARY VALVE and passed through PULMONARY ARTERY. The
unoxygenated blood will enter the lungs for oxygenation.

The blood with oxygen now or oxygenated blood will pass through PULMONARY VEINS and pass through
LEFT ATRIUM. The blood will pass through BICUSPID VALVE and LEFT VENTRICLE. The blood is being
pumped and pass through AORTIC VALVE and pass through AORTA. The oxygenated blood will go the rest
of the body to deliver oxygen to all parts of the body.
