The Circulation of Blood

Blood is one of the most important elements in the human body. The function of
blood is to transport the nutriens, oxygen dan carbon dioxide. In human, the circulation of
blood is devided in two-part system, there are small circulation and large circulation.

First, blood enters the small circulation. blood leaves the right atrium from heart.
This blood rich of carbon dioxide. From the rigt atrium, blood through trikusvidal valve and
enter in right ventricle. The tricuspidal valve is closed and re-open the pulmonary valve
automatically. Through the pulmonary valve, blood enters the the pulmonary artery.
Pulmonary artery has two branches, there are right branch and left branch. The right branch
will bring the blood to the right lung and also the left branch will bring blood to the left
lung. From each pulmonary
branches, blood past atriol and
enters to capillaries. At this stage
gas exchange of carbon dioxide and
oxygen occurs. Afterwards blood
through venula, past the vena
pulmonalis and circulated to the
left atrium.

Then after through the small

circulation, blood on the left
atrium which rich of oxygen will
transport to all parts of the body.
From the left atrium blood through
the bikusvidal valve and will be
circulate to all the body's cells by
aorta.

Finally, blood from the body returns to the heart through the veins. All of the blood from
body is collected into two largest veins : the superior vena cava, which receives blood from
the upper body, and the inferior vena cava, which receives blood from the lower body
region.

To remember, although the circulatory system is devided into two cycles, both happen at
the same time or simultaneosly.
