ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY 2
Developing nations face the challenge of limited financial resources that limit their ability
to expand rapidly. Limited financial resources also force these nations to choose and prioritize on
one task at the sake of other tasks. One of the dilemmas that developing countries face is
choosing between developing industrial skills in their workforce or upgrading the education
system. Research suggests that because industrial skills and education are both critical drivers of
national prosperity developing nations need to invest equally in them if they are to achieve rapid
development.
Skilled human resource creates a chance for developing countries to expand its industrial base.
This way the developing countries can produce a wide variety of valued commodities and sell
them at a profit. Enhancing the industrial skills in a country also generates more employment
opportunities for the citizens of a nation. Equipping the citizens with industrial skills encourages
self -employment and reduces reliance on white collar jobs(Saboe, M., & Condliffe,2015). A
good example is a country training its farmers on how to make and utilize organic fertilizers to
enhance crop productivity. Vocational schools are good avenues through which developing

growth and stability. It creates independence in the citizens of a nation. Industrial skills
possessed by a few people in a nation cannot impact the entire nation. Widespread investment in
education is needed to expand mental capacity and decision making abilities of the citizens.
Education is thus the backbone of civilization. Developing nations that fail to invest in education
and focus on industrial skills alone remain slaves to progressive nations forever. Education
In conclusion, developing countries need to develop the abilities of their citizens from
both the industrial skills and education perspective. Both types of skills have monumental
benefits to the nation. When one of these areas is left behind full development and prosperity
cannot be achieved.
