Remembrancesaidinthemorningandevening

Intheevening:

(i)WehavereachedtheeveningandatthisverytimeuntoAllahbelongsallsovereignty,andall
praiseisforAllah.NonehastherighttobeworshippedexceptAllah,alone,withoutpartner,to
HimbelongsallsovereigntyandpraiseandHeisoverallthingsomnipotent.MyLord,Iaskfor
thegoodofthisnightandthegoodofwhatfollowsitandItakerefugeinYoufromtheevilof
thisnightandtheevilofwhatfollowsit.MyLord,ItakerefugeinYoufromlazinessand
senility.MyLord,ItakerefugeinYoufromtormentintheFireandpunishmentinthegrave.
 likewise,onesaysinthemorning:

(ii)WehavereachedthemorningandatthisverytimeuntoAllahbelongsallsovereignty

(i)OAllah,byyourleavewehavereachedthemorningandbyYourleavewehavereachedthe
evening,byYourleaveweliveanddieanduntoYouisourresurrection.

Intheevening:
(ii)OAllah,byYourleavewehavereachedtheeveningandbyYourleavewehavereachedthe
morning,byYourleaveweliveanddieanduntoYouisourreturn.

OAllah,YouaremyLord,nonehastherighttobeworshippedexceptYou,Youcreatedme
andIamYouservantandIabidetoYourcovenantandpromiseasbestIcan,Itakerefugein
YoufromtheevilofwhichIcommitted.IacknowledgeYourfavouruponmeandIacknowledge
mysin,soforgiveme,forverilynonecanforgivesinexceptYou.

OAllah,verilyIhavereachedthemorningandcallonYou,thebearersofYourthrone,Your
angels,andallofYourcreationtowitnessthatYouareAllah,nonehastherighttobe
worshippedexceptYou,alone,withoutpartnerandthatMuhammadisYourServantand
Messenger. (fourtimesinthemorningandevening)

OAllah,whatblessingIoranyofYourcreationhaverisenupon,isfromYoualone,without
partner,soforYouisallpraiseanduntoYouallthanks.

intheeveninghasindeedofferedhisnightsthanks.

(i)OAllah,grantsmybodyhealth,OAllah,grantmyhearinghealth,OAllah,grantmysight
health.NonehastherighttobeworshippedexceptYou. (threetimes)

(ii)OAllah,ItakerefugewithYoufromdisbeliefandpoverty,andItakerefugewithYoufrom
thepunishmentofthegrave.NonehastherighttobeworshippedexceptYou. (threetimes)

AllahisSufficientforme,nonehastherighttobeworshippedexceptHim,uponHimI
relyandHeisLordoftheexaltedthrone.(seventimesmorningandevening)

ItakerefugeinAllahsperfectwordsfromtheevilHehascreated.

OAllah,IaskYouforpardonandwellbeinginthislifeandthenext.OAllah,IaskYoufor
pardonandwellbeinginmyreligiousandworldlyaffairs,andmyfamilyandmywealth.O
Allah,veilmyweaknessesandsetateasemydismay.OAllah,preservemefromthefront
andfrombehindandonmyrightandonmyleftandfromabove,andItakerefugewith
YoulestIbeswallowedupbytheearth.


OAllah,Knoweroftheunseenandtheseen,CreatorofheavensandtheEarth,Lordand
Sovereignofallthings,Ibearwitnessthatnonehastherighttobeworshippedexcept
shirk
You.ItakerefugeinYoufromtheevilofmysoulandfromtheeviland ofthedevil,
andfromcommittingwrongagainstmysoulorbringingsuchuponanotherMuslim.

InthenameofAllahwiththosenamenothingisharmedonearthnorintheheavensand
HeisTheAllSeeing,TheAllKnowing.

IampleasedwithAllahasaLord,andIslamasareligionandMuhammadasaProphet.

HowperfectAllahisandIpraiseHimbythenumberofHiscreationandHispleasure,and
bytheweightofHisthrone,andtheinkofHiswords.

 OEverLiving,OSelfSubsistingandSupporterofall,byYourmercyIseekassistance,
rectifyformeallofmyaffairsanddonotleavemetomyself,evenfortheblinkofaneye.

NonehastherighttobeworshippedexceptAllah,alone,withoutpartner,toHimbelongs
allsovereigntyandpraise,andHeisoverallthingsomnipotent.

WehavereachedthemorningandatthisverytimeallsovereigntybelongstoAllah,Lord
oftheworlds.OAllah,Iasyouforthegoodofthisday,itstriumphsanditsguidance,and
ItakerefugeinYoufromtheevilofthisdayandtheevilthatfollowsit.

TheMessengerofAllah(S)said:Whoeversaysinthemorning:

NonehastherighttobeworshippedexceptAllah,alone,withoutpartner,toHimbelongs
allsovereigntyandpraiseandHeisoverallthingsomnipotent.

hasindeedgainedtherewardoffreeingaslavefromthechildrenofIsmaaeel,andten
ofhissinsarewipedawayandheisraisedtendegrees,andhehasfoundasaferetreat
fromthedeviluntilevening.Similarly,ifhesaysitateveningtime,hewillbeprotected
untilthemorning.

Weriseuponthefitrah
ofIslam,andthewordofpurefaith,anduponthereligionofour
ProphetMuhammadandthereligionofourforefatherIbraheem,whowasaMuslimand
oftruefaithandwasnotofthosewhoassociateotherswithAllah.
