One that focuses less on its rational aspects and more on its
physical features: the political model of the organization
Goals are not given by the rightful authority, but are bargained
for among more or less powerful coalitions
Government agencies
Unlike the neat hierarchy of the rational model, this is messier
and more complex of clustered power relationship and
crisscrossing communication channels
If focus on power, as the basic organizational reality, the main
ethical problems are connected with the acquisition and
exercise of power; moral constraints to which the use of power
within organizations must be subjected
What are the moral limits to the power managers acquire and
exercise over their subordinates?
What, if any, are the moral limits to the power employees
acquire and exercise on each other?
