To whom so ever it may concern,

It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation to substantiate the
admissions process of Nischay Behal at the xyz university (Please mention the name of the
university). Nischay is one of the few exceptionally gifted students i have encountered
throughout my career of 21 years as a high school mathematics teacher . Nischay , as i have
known him from teh past two years is a student captivated by the process of learning and
completely enthralled by the intricacies of learning of the sheer subject content of a subject as
rigorous as mathematics . One of the unique thing about Nischay that makes him stand out of
the crowd is hiis commendable outlook to mathematics as is evident by some of his great
achivements in the feild of mathematics . Nischay has participated in some of the most selective
math competitions and have won them by a great margin , such contests have been won by him
which are very selective to get into let alone the thought of winning them . Contests including the
arml , regional mathematical olympiad are a few to be mentioned . Apart from these
acheivements , he also possess the sheer inquisitiveness required for the participation in various
symposiums, plenary addresses and colloquia whih are addressed and have marked their
attendance by some of the greatest echelons of the field of mathematics and who have left their
indelible imprint and have etched themselves in the mind of math enthusiasts , research scholars
and few computer programmers concerned with the field of scientific computing by holding
various allocades in the feild of mathematics such as the feilds medal , carl freidrich gauss prize
and , sastra ramanujan prize and the leelavati prize.
Throughout his time at the bal niketan senior secondary school here in chandigarh , india and
since i have known and have had the opportunity to serve as his mathematics teacher especially
in the grades xi and xii he has placed himself as one of the top performing students in his class
despite being the youngest student in a class of 120 students he has had that captivation by
learning which has had helped him excel in even the hardest of the courses we have had in our
school which are equivalent to the advanced placement and the a levels of the united kingdom .
As a sophomore studentin his grade xi , he worked well with others and displayed a great
involvement in the activities initiated and conducted by me at the classroom level , such a
hardwork backed up by a geniune interest in the field of mathematics and especially in the feild
of abstract mathematics , including the topics of topology , game theory and algebra have helped
him earn an a in his math courses .he was one of the few students who took the initiative at
personal level to ensure that his particiaption in the various extra currcular activities and
conferences out of the school do not catapult his school curriculum directed studies to a
regressive state of oblivion and neglect , so he ensured mastering a regular routine of
independent study complemented by some of the greatest pedagogies of the math study and
supervised by his own determination and his own exigency to succeed in mathematics as a
subject and hence he mastered the art of independent study which is now embibed in his first
principles and would help him flourish in the feild of stem in general .
Nischay , is a gifted student exhibiting a sheer high iq score of 136 he has grabbed a spot in some
of the most intellectual people in this world as a result he was placed in the top scoring section of
our school which included students who were a part of the accelerated and the gifted students
programme . Even as a part of this corerie of students he used to outperform the so called
math mozarts of the group . As a result he used to introduce various methods of computing the
complex problems which were not in the scope of first principles standard methods and the
formulaic approaches which can be gained mastery of;by en routing the approach of rote
memorisation.
Apart from his school curriculum , his self tailored math curriculum also included problems from
various , multiple curriculum as a result of which i often found him practising the math problems
from the curriculums of international baccalaureate , igcse , hong kong diploma and a levels .
His way of grasping mathematics as a subject was different from the rest of his group mates and
can be referred to as anoutlier approachto the mathematics . He would often help other
students understand the subject matter in a lucid manner which displays his clarity of thought in
the subject . He was also in a position to model the complex real life phenonomenon and identify
that which branch of mathematics did the phenonmenon belong to and hence apply the
corresponding computational , numerical methods and use manipulations to solve real life
problems .
Another feature of his which often came into my notice which is worth mentioning was his speed
at which he used to render the techniques , devise a model strategy , execute it and compute the
solution to the problems which required a very rigorous amount of mathematics in a fraction of
seconds .
Nischay is also good at handling the complex subject matter well owing to his high grasping
power . He is able to handle the stress and pressure which arises in students of his age who are
involved in practising advanced material at high school level and are performing at a very high
level amongst the students of high school .
Hence as a result of the above mentioned parameters i was not surprised to see nischay excelling
in class .
At a personal level ,nischay is liked by all and dispalys a sense of precociousness and maturity
which is hard to adapt to at his age . He also exhibits a senstivity towards the process of learning
and has directed learning as the foremost priority of his life . His holistic approach towards
learning and life in general is commendable , the way he reacts to situations, remains composed
even under over stressed working conditions and manages time at very pedantic level is very
hard to observe at a macroscopic level in teenagers.
Nischay esses me as a student who actively seeks new experiences which support his love for
science.nischay ently coauthored a paper which is to be published and presented in the intena
tional journals.nischay has volunteered as a medical laboratory agent at the pgimer and has
conducted various lab work at the trauma centre at the pgimer .
Beyong his academic excellence , nischay is a charismatic individual who intiates to extend help
in process of learningand social work and is respected and liked by faculty and peers .
His maturity and charisma are qualities that are quite rare among high school students. He
interacts well with his peers be it in the classroom setting or with the broader diverse student
population where he is well known as a balanced individual with a warm personality and
sense of humor

To conclude , nischay is a well rounded individual and exhibits the qualities of a great
mathematician and leader and has been excelling in the course filled with rigourous university
level advanced activities . Nischay grabs every opportunity which comes his way and exhibits
the maturity enough to learn from it and to draw constructive opinions and learning experience
out of every opportunity . Overll, all these things exhibited by him has helped him grow his
academic sanity , integrity and rationality to think as a great and developed individual in terms of
emotional and psychological terms .i admire him for his intelligence, sincerity, honesty, and
integrity and am impressed by his discipline as an independent learner. He is a highly motivated
individual with a thirst for knowledge. Nischay would surely be an asset to your coveted
university in the coming years
