to Bogota. She wrote an e-mail to Johana showing her itinerary. Please, read

Writing plan: / Plan de escritura:

Objective: To write a reply to Sakie e-mail message.

Plan:

1. Johana thanks Sakie for her message.

2. Johana tells Sakie she has to arrive to Yokohama train station one
hour before the train departures.
3. Johana tells Sakie that after the train arrives in Tokyo, she needs to
take a bus from the train station to Narita International airport.
4. Johana recommends having the passport and boarding pass on hand
before the check in.
5. Johana tells Sakie that the flight to Los Angeles takes very long.
Considering the arrival time, Johana thinks it is better to spend the
night at the hotel airport.
6. Johanna tells Sakie she can wake up early and do some shopping at
the duty free section of Los Angeles airport. (The duty free is at
Terminal 2).
7. Johana tells Sakie that the boarding gate to Bogotas flight is at
Terminal 5. Thus, Sakie needs to take a shuttle from Terminal 2 to
Terminal 5. The shuttle takes 15 minutes. Johana also tells Sakie that
she can walk, if she prefers so. The walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal
5 takes about 35 minutes.
8. Johana tells Sakie she cant spend too much time walking around
because she can miss her flight.
9. Johana tells Sakie that she is working in the afternoons now. So, on
September 23rd she cant go to El Dorado airport. Johana tells Sakie
that after she arrives in Bogota, she has to go pass by the immigration
checkpoints.
10. Johana tells Sakie that after passing immigration she can go to the
baggage claim section and pick up her luggage.
11. Johana tells Sakie that there are taxi points at El Dorado Airport where
she can ask for a safe Taxi.
12. Johana tells Sakie to get a taxi and ask the driver to take her to the
downtown, where Johana lives.
13. Johana says goodbye.

Check: Read the e-mail again and check for mistakes (grammar, spelling,
punctuation, etc.).

4. Now, write the e-mail to complete the evidence. You have to give Sakie clear
instructions by following the writing plan and using at least five (5)
prepositions of movement in the appropriate contexts. Keep in mind all the
different means of transportation Sakie will be using and the places she will

My dear Sakie

It is great to know about you and that you visit my country soon.

You have to keep in mind that you must be at the Yokohama station.
An hour before the train doors close.

When you arrive at the Tokyo train station, you must take a bus that will take
you to Narita at the Tokyo international airport.

When you enter the airport you must go to your airline window and check the
luggage, so that you can go to the boarding gate where you ask for your
boarding pass and your passport, from there you must go on a ferry to terminal
2 from where Your flight leaves
Do not forget that you have to have your passport and check-in available. And
you must be in the boarding room at least half an hour before.
The trip from Tokyo International Airport to LAX Los Angeles International
Airport lasts approximately 12 hours, time that you must take to sleep since the
trip is long. When you arrive at Los Angeles airport, you must wait many hours
to make the transfer, you can take advantage of eating, reading, and shopping
in the stores inside the airport, while it is time for you to leave the next flight that
will take you to your destination final.

When approaching the time of your departure you must board a ferry inside the
LAX airport that takes you to terminal 2 to board the plane that will bring you to
Bogota remember to have your travel documents handy.
You can take advantage to sleep during the trip as they are almost 8 hours
flight.
Your flight arrives at terminal 1 of the Dorado Airport of Bogota, you must go
through immigration, pick up your bags and look for the exit, I recommend you
not lose sight of your suitcases and if you need some information go to those
who have the safety uniforms from the airport.

For the schedule and the day that your flight arrives I can`t receive you
personally, I advise you to take a taxi that brings you directly to the city center
where I live. Make sure to take the service of the taxis authorized by the airport
through the company Taxi Imperial, for safety do not take taxis outside the
airport.
Give the address to the driver, the resin-social set is called Brisas of Portal.
